Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

To my knowledge, no. My understanding is that once the m2000 has the modified FW, it will treat all data as general on device data. T-mobile can not tell if you are streaming YT @ 4k or browsing a forum..... I did call T-mobile however the night I got the line and the 1st rep. in the tech support dept. added it np. I figure this way I can use the sim in my m2000, tablet or whatever device I prefer.
The reason I asked, because I added 2 lines but couldn't get HD stream pass added. So that, I canceled those 2 lines. if this M2000 could do stream 4K, then I probably add them back LOL

Thanks

I called Tmobile Business to open an account, and they said that due to my LLC's credit history (no credit history) I'd have to pay $72 for the tablet and I'd get $3 refunded to my bill monthly over 24 months.

I was wondering if anyone ran into something like that and if there's a way around it.
Yes, that is what they told me, too. I assumed it was going to be a lump amount, but it looks like it is spread over 24 months.

I can't do nothing with business online account except viewing bills and make payment. T-Mobile reps told me business account online ordering function had been disabled for all business accounts, the only way to make order which is to contact them or visit a store.
You have to have business account already to log in to add.
I just check, it is still there

I added a business tablet line online a week ago. I registered online account, but I am not able to add another line online after I have a biz account

I think the HD Pass is still throttled to 1080P and the only way to get 4K is to go through a VPN, which kinda defeats the purpose because VPN usually is slower than the 5G speeds anyway.

Nice deal @ $99! Yes, I'm in discussion with him right now as far as getting my m2000's FW flashed. Once I get the details ironed out, test the flash and ask him for the Ok to share I will update the thread. I plan to keep updates posted as thing progress. 🤞
Thank you. Looking forward to your update on this.

Not sure..... When I called to get the HD Pass added to my account the rep read off some of the info. in which she stated 4k. 🤔

Just as a quick datapoint, in my Inseego M2100, with this T-Mobile Magenta Tablet data SIM, I am getting fast.com speeds of:
- (wifi connection to M2100) 16mbps down/8mbps up
- (wifi connection to my Mango router, USB tethered to my M2100) 10mbps down/7mbps up

On my iPad, this T-Mobile data sim is giving me about 2.4mbps down on Fast.com; I do not have HDPass on my account.

This quick test was done in the downstairs room in my house with 1-2 bars of 5G T-mobile signal in San Francisco. I'm sure that in higher signal areas with stronger T-Mobile signals, I'll get 30-100+mbps down/20-30mbps up on both SpeedTest and Fast.com tests.

I just watched a video on my promo tablet plan w/HD pass in, I think it was, 2160? Def higher than 1080p...... no VPN.

Same here. I need to pay $72 for the tablet and no mentioning of the refund. They also charge me $20 for the sim card

The "refund" of the $72 DP is $3 a month x 24. Many people using an EIN that has no/not much business credit history are having to put money down upfront

Mind doing a test on fast.com? That'll confirm if there really is no throttle for 1080p video.

Based on previous Magenta plans, it *should* throttle to around 8Mbps.

Yep... that's around where it's at. (Have done this a bunch of times after they added the free HD pass on...)
