Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Honestly, I don't think these carriers care what the device reports as on a plan with a mobile hotspot limit.

If I get a second line, I'm going to snatch up an Orbic Speed 5G.

I was wondering if HDVPASS0 is per account or per line? More specifically, I've got two lines with HDVPASS0 right now. If I add another line, do I need to apply HDVPASS0 to the new line manually, or it will be applied automatically since I've got it in my account already.

Just ordered Orbic 5G for 125+tax. Let's see how that goes
Anyone using M2100, how is that reporting in your account?

I got my Orbic 5G from eBay, just have to be patient and can try offering a few people a lowball offer, I only paid $100.

It's per line, you need to request them to add it to each line separately, which kind of sucks.

Yes it does, I confirmed the ethernet port data counts as on device and not as hotspot.

I did not test the usb tethering but it's available.

Do you know what the Inseego shows up as? You may be in the same boat that it recognizes it as something hotspot like.

For sure the M6 Pro is a better device, though a lot more expensive ($100 for Orbic 5G, $350 and up for M6 Pro).
Great price!

Thanks for the testing. My month is coming to an end this weekend. I'm going to try to use my Orbic 5G to download some big downloads of HBO Max episodes; they're quite a number of GB per episode, much bigger files than Netflix, for example.

Someone just won one on eBay for $150 including shipping for a "brand new" unit. Best price for a brand new one I've seen, and this one probably sold quickly.

Still, patience is the key. Mine was also around $100.

Good luck, I'm surprised at the speeds I can get out of this hotspot, I got over 300 down earlier. I would not have known about it without your post, I appreciate it.

The only thing I want to do is get into the developer settings to see what bands it's using. The specs say it should support n41/n71 on the Orbic website, while Verizon doesn't show them.

Darn it... should have bought Orbic instead of Nok+ GLinet for a permanent setup.

How do you check and send messages when using the sim in the hotspot? The T-mobile DIGITS app does not seem to work with this plan.

My M2100 refuses to connect to the internet after inserting the new sim. Any ideas how to get it to connect? I tried factory reset and manually setting APN, didn't work.

You shouldn't have to do anything. It should just work. Does it say that there's a Non-Verizon Sim card inserted? That what mine says.

If anyone cares, my Netgear M6 Pro (MR6400 for Dish5G) got 609/37 Mbps last time I ran a speedtest.
Do you know if MR6150 version would work as well? It's already unlocked and I think has more bands with Tmo 5G. Not cheap, but I'm able to get my hands on one at work...

I don't have a MR6150, but if the spec sheet shows the same plus more bands then theoretically it works just as good, but I do not know if data used on this model is counted toward hotspot data.

MR6400 is desirable b/c of the $350 retail price. But yeah, if you can buy get the MR6150 for close to that, it is better overall.
