Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

You know what is interesting, when looking at the websitenow I dont see the TE plan now, but I do see the TI plan - can anyone confirm? Perhaps that was the rumor about a plan expiring
Is the TE plan the "Magenta" $10? I see it there at the very bottom $10/month no taxes. The TI plan is also there.

Is upgrading to DDWRT as simple as just doing a firware update through the console?

Will it cause any issues if using a router that was converted from a T-Mobile cellspot?
Need to install stock Asus FW, then load DD-WRT on top of the Asus FW. Mine starts out as T Mo but is now running stock Asus.

Can you explain a little more how you implement 1.1.1.1 warp? Is HDPASS still necessary with this workaround?

Wouldnt you need to make changes at the router level rather than on a phone app?

I think on ASUS you can override DNS settings to 1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1 - does that do same thing?
1.1.1.1 is a replacement for hdpass. I tried doing that on my router but it didn't work. It works when I run the program on windows and phone

I am currently running 3.0.0.4.385_20490-g57b06ea Asus stock

Right now I am using 192.168.2.1 as my login , will that change if I mess with the firmware or change DNS?

What about if I am streaming to a CCwGTV ? Do I have to sideload and run the program on that as well?

You just turned Spoof TTL value to YES button, and it works with firewall on and leave anything else alone?
My Asus AX86U does not worked
You need to directly set TTL also, not just spoof checkbox. I think I set mine to 68 or 69, but I can't check it right now.

Same problem with 86u, anyone knows how to resolve this issue?
Specify the TTL value, just checking the spoof button isn't enough.

I have to use 1.1.1.1 Warp app on phone/tablet/Desktop PC. HDPASS is not needed then.

1.1.1.1 Warp is like a VPN, changing DNS to simply 1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1 won't work. That is for DNS, think of DNS like Telephone directory, it helps look up IP address for websites.

1.1.1.1 Warp program creates like a tunnel and your ISP, T-Mobile can't see that you are streaming Youtube/Netflix and so doesn't throttle, and thus let's you stream at full speed. Any other VPN would kinda do the same thing I guess. 1.1.1.1 Warp is kinda like VPN but doesn't hide your IP address.

I think there might be way to install 1.1.1.1 Warp directly on router but I don't know about it. I use the 1.1.1.1 Warp app.

Good luck!

Why does it work with RTAC68U stock Asus FW then just by turning on the spoof feature? I just want to understand this

So, if I sign up for this for my iPad 12.9 pro, it is just 10 a month and that will be 5g speeds and I can also use in Canada and Mexico at those speeds too if available. Thanks!

To my knowledge, it doesn't. You need to install Merlin.

I can confirm it does with the Fast 5688 and RTAC68U w/ stock Asus FW

Me too. Like I said, I just wanted to understand this. My Apple TV streams 4K content with no problem whatsoever, yet Fast.com is only showing 6-7 Mbps. That would suggest that I am using HS data, yet the TMO app disagrees with that.

Isnt it just video throttling rather than using hotspot data? But not sure why Apple TV apps are not throttling

Sorry - is Fast.com checking general download speed or does it check video download speed?
