Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Can you just put the tablet sim in the 5g gateway and it works for unlimited internet? Or is there a hack you have to apply?
No.

Yes, exactly. Otherwise it's hotspot data that will end after 10gb

It seems weird that tmobile would not be able to tell the tablet sim is installed in a gateway, since its their own gateway.

I connected via wireless only while doing TTL modifications.

Interesting I thought and gave it a try. But, my device goes dead as soon as I plug out the battery. No Wifi, No USB connection. Not sure, if this is due to a different firmware or the hack that I had applied to change the TTL on it.
I thought you were the one who figured out that if you pulled the battery at the right time the unit would stay active? https://slickdeals.net/f/15673165-10-month-t-mobile-unlimited-tablet-line-10?p=155502250#post155502250

That was what I was trying when I thought it didn't work because of the lack of any lights on the unit but it did in fact continue to function despite that.

Many hotspots/routers have never worked with the SIM. They seem satisfied with that.

I've seen posts regard selective throttling of video data. The use of a VPN should fix this problem. That said, people often abuse bandwidth by streaming 4K into a portable device with 1080p native resolution. ISP should throttle data on those who pull more than 100Mbps continuously for more than three hours. The additional cost of upgrading hardware will ultimately be passed on to everyone.

Not talking about throttling; VPN won't help. Zero data passed at all.

Wait, I thought you installed Merlin onto an Asus router and tweaked the TTL on that one?
