Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Inserted the T Mobile home internet SIM in the TMOHS1 unit. No data. Both are R15 SIM cards. Has anyone able to use this SIM in another device other than the Nokia, Arcadyan, and Sagemcom units?

TIA,

Before the TMOHS1 will work, you'll need to hack it first. This post is a good place to start: https://slickdeals.net/f/15673165-10-month-t-mobile-unlimited-tablet-line-10?v=1&p=154328683&src=SiteSearch#post154328683

Thank for your reply. TMOHS1 has be hacked (no HOTSPOT cap and software update). I believe the hack masks HOTSPOT data use. In this case, the TMOHS1's data light does not come ON with the T Mobile home SIM card.

The SIM card that's shipped with the TMOHS1 works (data light on TMOHS1 is lit).

TMobile home internet sim is locked to the IMEI of the gateway that came with it or at least only allowed in TMobile gateways. If you can spoof your hotspot or other devices with a TMobile gateway IMEI, it will probably work.

Is this still available? Confused because I clicked the link to reddit and it says it's over but someone was able to get it in Nov 2022 per comments there.

I have a Cudy X6 and a KVD21 Gateway. Do I just set the X6's TTL to 66 to pull device data instead of hotspot or do I have to run a script as well? I saw that there's a script to run with an ASUS router but wasn't sure about the Cudy.

Alright been using a patched TMOHS1 now for 3 days or so and used about 30GB of data through it but speeds are pretty slow (usually 6-8mbit/sec). Enough for streaming youtube no issue but would like to increase the bandwidth if possible for downloads by utilizing the 5G network.

Would I be better off buying from eBay the Nok 5g21 or Arc kvd21? I will have either attached to my DD-WRT Netgear Nighthawk router via ethernet.

No need to run any scripts with the Cudy. Just set the TTL and it will pull from device data

That's my though. Thanks for your input. The SIM that came with the TMOHS1 didn't work if I run a VPN. Has anyone encountered no data issue with the $10 SIM when running a VPN?

The built in antenna inside the TMOHS1 is crap, so positioning is critical for good speed. I can pull about 30Mbps at 30 feet.

The other 5G modems should definitely provide higher speed if there is no major traffic overload at your location.

wg1608 is cheap. Suncomm/alway, etc (all look the same, may be labeled 5G CPE).
If you're a noob, you can find them with reskinned openwrt that has one click...identity changes... and the like.

RM520N-GL is the modem. It's a qualcomm x62. It's not worth going cheaper if you're getting it for 5G (and I assume we all are).

What 5g module do you recommend? Why is rm502q-ae (x55) more expensive then rm520n (x62)?

Are the speeds usable for web browsing? When I was in Europe specifically netherlands, it showed lte but barely worked. This was in an iPad as well btw.

May have been a band issue or something. Everything works fine, it's better than the Orbic 5G I took with me a few months ago stability wise.

Now I'm not streaming YouTube and such but maps, sms, basic browsing, WhatsApp all give no issues. Connected to LTE, haven't seen anything 5G. The Orbic 5G connected to 3G so maybe that's why the iPhone performs better, though the phone is a 14 Pro Max Global (EU model). Funny thing is that this phone is not allowed on the Verizon network at all, had to switch carriers for the US (ATT on Sim and T-Mobile on esim).
