I think it's crazy that people don't spend extra on tools they use 12+ hours a day. Using a mouse is part of my profession. The comparison between this and say Logitech's own M325 cannot be overstated.

I have a MX Anywhere 2S as my daily driver, excellent mouse to carry around during the day between meetings. Battery life is exceptional. Only complaint is very specific, middle mouse button doesn't like CAD programs.

Dell carries Philips Hue items so its a good way to get an extra light bulb or Hue Go etc.

Great little mouse. I upgraded to this from the Anywhere 2S. It took a little getting use to, but once you do, the smart scroll wheel really shines.

Unless you're doing procurement from a company. Nobody buys from dell.
Like nobody would go out of their way to pay full price for a Highend digital camera from Dell. But back in the day they used to have a lot more highend camera gear on the website. Because of Discounts as in store money. So accounting would never see the dollars really going towards other equipment. So buying $250K in server equipment would end up with some free stuff which is on yet off the books.

Man as the person above said, you're spending hundreds of hours on the device. Buying a high quality device makes such a difference to your user experience and hands.

I used to think like you - spending $9 for the Chinese copycat mouses. It's worth skipping a restaurant meal or two for these everyday use items.

The expiration means you've got a limited window to find something else to buy, you'll spend a lot of time browsing and still you're probably going to end up paying nearly full price - or just letting the card expire. At best, you'll find another eGift card deal and the cycle repeats itself.
