Features: - Eight power levels (up to 1800W) make immediate temperature changes for precise control while cooking. A temperature range from 160°-440°F (71°-227°C) directs steady heat to your cookware.
- Induction-ready cookware is required to use the cooktop. Your cookware is compatible if a magnet (included) sticks to the bottom.

I'm trying to wean myself off gas stove and also aluminum pots. : QuestionWhat are the electrical requirements and is it a plug in or does it need to be hard wired?
Asked 2 years ago by paddy.
A:Answer Standard 2-prong (ungrounded) US plug. 1800W means it will max out a 15A circuit at full draw. Mine has tripped the breaker once or twice before, if anything else is being used on the circuit at the same time I'm at full power. 1200W is the most you can pull on a 10A circuit.
Any old electric coil stove top can do this.

Or anything similar.
Also incorrect: "Be sure you have stainless" is not correct.
Correct: Be sure that a magnet is -strongly- attracted to the bottom of the cookware and that the cookware bottom is perfectly flat and remains so when heated.
