I got this 2 weeks ago. Really good for the price. Great screen. Aluminum build. Decent battery life. Slim and less weight.

Bought this exact refurb model from OD a few weeks ago. Microsoft Edge continually crashed on me especially while watching Twitch or YouTube. Had to return it. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Specs seem acceptable at this price point except for the quad-core last-gen Intel CPU. Should not be using anything less than 6-8 cores especially from a power-hungry CPU that performs significantly worse than Intel 12-gen or even AMD's 5000U series CPUs.
I'm so lost on what specs are good and what are bad. I'm having a hard time finding a good tablet or 2 in 1 in my price range. Any help would be appreciated. You seem so knowledgeable. Thanks

For what its worth, my thoughts are buy the best thing under $500 you can, use it for 3-4 years and go get a new one. In 9 years you will have the most recent technology, 3 laptops for $1,500. Or you can buy a fancy thing-a-ma-bob for $1,500+ and see how slow it will be in 9 years from now. This is a great laptop for under $500. I'd love to see this under 400 to make this a no brainer. However beggars blah blah choosers.

So I bit when it was on Slickdeals a few weeks ago. Very happy with the purchase, especially after dealing with the hard to see keyboard of the Asus Zen laptop.

If I wanted to upgrade the nvme ssd to a larger drive, how would I do the windows reinstall?

I watched some youtube videos on how to physically change the nvme drive, which is pretty straightforward, at least for someone used to building their own computers.

I am used to linux, hence the windows reinstall and license question.

Thanks in advance.

Download the free MS Windows installer tool, use it to download the Windows ISO onto a USB drive. Replace the nvme with the bigger one. Boot off the USB and install windows.

If you want to clone the existing drive, you'll need a usb m.2 external enclosure ($20ish) and a clone program like Macrium reflect (free edition is fine).

I think Microcenter ASUS VivoBook 14 F415EA-UB51 for 399.00 is better deal.

It's only 8gb versus 16gb for Lenovo
