He counted for hard drive

He did miss PSU, case, and CPU cooler though.. Not counting extra fans and thermal paste you may need

Building your own isn't necessarily cheaper but you get much better parts from known brands with better warranties.
Missing hard drive and OS too tho hmm. And fans and liquid cooling too
Bought this in January for the same price. Extremely happy with my purchase.

So Costco has the 7i at normal price of $1899, appears that this 5i has a smaller case, a slower non-k 11700 and missing the 1TB HDD. Other than that the builds appear the same. I suppose the $336 savings is worth it to many.

Can anyone confirm this case has good cooling? I recall the 7i was praised as being one of the better prebuilts in regards to that.

A really nice case and good air flow. I had the min for 5 months temperatures stay down even during triple A game titles

They just had a sale for 1699.99 a bit ago on the 7i. I would wait, lower prices likely to come...

I'm sick of waiting been looking since late January. Paying for a adobe cc subscription I can barely utilize due to my hardware(i7 4790 dell) being too old to use appropriate drivers. What I'd really like is a deal on a 12th gen with a plain old 3060.

You can probably build a better spec for about same price. You can currently get the 3070 ti from EVGA or Amazon for $760. CPU is roughly $300. That gives you a bugdget of roughly $500 for nvme drive ($100), ram ($130), mobo ($200), case ($100).
