How does this compare to a 6600 xt?
6600 XT is about 10-12% better. When compared to the 3060, 6600xt takes the cake by 3%. When comparing the 6600 vs 3060, the 3060 leads it by 9%. These are 1080p at high-ultra settings with no DLSS or FXR (summarized between hardware's unboxed and jarrod's tech on youtube).
Jorrad said that the 6600 isnt much improvement over the 5600 XT but is a better pick IF you can get cheaper than the 3060.
Imo, I would wait for the 6600XT to drop in price as it will probably give you the best over gaming experience even if its a bit more. if not go with the 3060, or 6600 if you are in need of a card or cant wait. good luck and cheers!

Time to memorize the long-forgotten MSRPs that didn't matter until now:
6500 XT ($199) 6600 ($329) <--- you are here
6600 XT ($379)
6700 XT ($479)
6800 ($579)
6800 XT ($649)
6900 XT ($999)
It was speculated that the 6800 non-XT will just disappear because there is no need for AMD to cut down the Navi 21 die that much and pair it with 16 GB of memory. The 6750 XT refresh card would take its place.

Thank you. i believe every GPU post should include the MSRP to let people know how close we are getting. This card performs similar to last gen 5600XT and should be priced at around $280.
I have seen a youtube pc builder saying avoid MSI due to poor thermal.
I had an MSI rx580x armor and that card would shut down on me if I cranked up on the graphics on default bios settings.
Idk if they improved now or not...

I've held out this long with my 1660ti / 8th gen i5 combo, I hope this is on track to be a good Black Friday to build a PC.
