Just an FYI. If you choose to use the wires from your existing doorbell the Blink doorbell will use your existing chime. However the Blink doorbell itself still gets its power from the 2 Energizer lithium batteries.

Yes I use a sync 1 and sync 2 together at my house.

I however don't use local storage but you should be able to do what you describe.

I don't think the batteries last in this anywhere near as long as they do in blink cameras. I turned off motion and use it for doorbell only because I don't want to replace the batteries every 1-2 months.
