You literally couldn't pay me to buy an Alienware product. The case alone on this is just terrible. Gamers Nexus just did a review on one of these PC's if you wish to watch here's a link https://youtu.be/DY1dlVPzUVo

you can get an evga 12GB rtx 3080 ftw3 any day of the week for $1000. it's noticeably faster and a lot quieter. add another $481 for the rest of the parts and you will get a much faster computer.

Roasting the roaster. If you do get this, make sure it has liquid cooling. Though a 120 AIO is about as good as a Hyper 212

"You literally couldn't pay me to buy an Alienware product." hard to believe.. everything has a price.. if they gave an extra $800 off I bet you'd pull the trigger.

I watch gamers nexus all the time I wish they would put a value on the pc's they review and show what upgrades you can do if you do purchase one.

The reason they rate them so badly is because they pay msrp for them, if you can save 1k+ on one.. there must be some way to make the cooling better on these.

would be nice to know their opinion on when it is ok to pull the trigger on one.

(this price is still too high for me)

Just by your reply I can tell you haven't watched the video I linked. The video alone answers everything you just said

I cant believe I just watched this $5000 R13 Allienware PC video.. Every time there's a dell PC posted here.. someone will always link to gamers nexus.. its the same as their other videos.. they overpay for something and critique the design.. you will always find flaws with anything built with proprietary parts. We all know these prebuilts will never beat at custom PC..

Nowhere in the video do they mention how much these PC's should be priced and what can be done to make the airflow better.

I had purchased an XPS 8940 awhile back which they also had a crappy review for.. but I only paid $650 for it (with an i5 11th gen and a 1660 super) (their review unit was $1700.. something like that.. who on slickdeals will pay that)
It was not bad for $650 after replacing the cpu cooler and adding thermal pads to the gpu.
