Thread is a little shilly.

There seems to be NO SPECS for components on this bike so you can assume they are bottom of the barrel and only 10Ah battery, only 6 month warranty
Just took delivery of a Lectric XP2.0 yesterday. eBikes are a lot of fun. I don't know about this specific model but if it gets you out and about should be worth it.
There is paying a little extra money, and then there is paying double or triple. The question here should be is there anything comparable around this price range. I could also buy a Rolls Royce instead of a Toyota but that's not the point.

I'd highly recommend saying you want to return preemptively. I'm playing bike roulette one more time with a Walmart bike/battery and or it's a no go then I'm sending it back.

It's a shame because even though it's a bit cheap its still nice for the price for sure... If it worked.

Just got a rad power too and honestly kind of wish I just bit the bullet end got two of those. Quality difference is staggering (as is the price)

I grabbed a vsett 8 for commute. My catalytic converter was stolen so I needed something quick.

For everyone with battery problems. It might seem obvious but was the battery power switch in the on position. I'm not sure why they have these on the battery but maybe for safety. If your charger doesn't light up or stays green even when the battery is dead it might be a fualty charger.

It'd be funny if this is just user error and not a widespread defect.

Charger is always green regardless of battery switch being on or off. One thing I haven't tried is getting the key and turning the lock. Has anyone tried this?

Yeah, tried that. I am pretty sure the key just engages the bolt on the lock.

For someone who had a working bike (from Gotrax at all) can you plug on your charger and see if power position impacts the charge?

Another question I have is when you have a dead battery will the charge indicator light still work.

Did anyone here buy from Walmart and get a functional battery?

Can you do a charge back after 14 days?

I bought one from GoTrax.com website, and one from walmart.com. the Walmart bike arrived in three days, the gotrax in 6. The Walmart bike has been great so far. The gotrax bike arrived in a box that looked like it got left out in the rain, and then fell off the back of the truck. I never even opened it ..took pics and emailed gotrax support, and after a little back and forth, they issued me a return label and stated they would issue a ONE TIME full refund (whatever that means). We'll see how the refund process goes

Amazing that you already have a return label. I can't even get a reply out of them.

Another Dead battery here as well. Tried everything to get it to work, hoping it was a mistake on my end. No go. I called them and told them the problem, they said they would warranty it. I sent gotrax a warranty request, then changed my mind and decided I didn't want to take the chance of losing my 14d return option, so I sent gotrax a return request today within the 14 days. No answer or confirmation yet, so we'll see how it goes. Based on number of issues, may not be worth the hassle. Now I have to box it back up and prepare to ship back (~70lbs?). I haven't heard back, I'm hoping I don't need to go the credit card route...

On my 3rd bike (2nd from Walmart) I got a working battery and took the bike out for around 30 miles including a few fairly steep hills. Really enjoyed it to be honest, the bike is pretty light for an ebike and while the seat was uncomfortable that's an easy fix.

It has a bit of lag before the motor kicks in but this thing flies and is zippy once it does.

Just a shame about the batteries honestly

Wanted to add a 2 month update.

This is a cheaper bike (ala $199-299 Walmart) with a fairly powerful motor attached. The shocks in the front are starting to degrade some already visually and the seat is uncomfortable from about 150mi of riding.

The bike is quick and run to ride. I've stretched the battery to about 30-35 mi by not using the highest power setting. Speaking of power, you have 0, 1, 2, 3 as your choices for speed assist/throttle. 1 is weak, 2 is powerful, 3 is powerful. There's no middle ground. It's a minor quibble.

Overall I can recommend the bike at this price, but not much higher, and I'd probably recommend going with a better brand of you can afford it. Likely going to get a Ride1up to replace this and keep this one as a spare for when friends come over
