Tape up one of the holes from the inside so the flaps can still open and the hair should come out on its own. Some dirt will be left behind but you can tilt the dirt box so the dirt falls towards the open hole and run auto empty. I do this every few days.
Apparently this requires a single use bag for the self empty canister, and thus requires additional costs to run in the regular with this feature. Anyone find a reusable option for the bag?
This is an incredible deal for this... but just fyi mine has some really weird mapping issues compared to the roborock s5 we had. Even though it knows exactly where it is, it has a very hard time getting back to the dock at times. It went towards the complete opposite direction and got stuck in a corner most recently. I don't know if it is a weird interaction with my floors or what. We are considering getting a different model entirely for downstairs and just using this one on the carpeted upstairs.
EDIT: Updating as I found out this isn't the model with the laser avoidance system. Ours is that version and it is possible the lasers are the cause of the problem.
Ooh so tempted! But I wish it was a hair thinner so it can get under the couch
This one can easily go under the bed. If it can go that low, i believe couch wouldn't be a problem.

Add some felt pads under the couch feet if it's that close
Great idea! Never thought of that. Buying some felt pads now! Our older Roborock barely fits. It ends up going around the legs, then exits without cleaning under the couch. So thanks for the tip. Definitely trying that.

No object avoidance in this model.
Smaller battery
Actually just watched vacuum wars on it lol. It looks like it does have some type of avoidance system in his review with the use of lasers on the front rather than cameras on the t8
Yup. I have the T8+. Fantastic little vac. Only thing that doesn't work well is auto empty. I have girls plus wife in the house. It picks up the hair well but since the holes are on opposite sides of the vac and rather small, the hair just gets pulled into both and everything behind it can't come out. Really a bummer there but the cleaning aspect is excellent.

Agree, laser definitely helps avoidung obvious objects and it bumps a lot less than other models.

I literally went and googled the issue I'm having right after my original post and found a YouTube video where one of the commenters said to do that. Taped up half of one hole. Ran auto empty and it pulled the entire clump of hair no problem. Talk about genius. I'll mark your comment helpful in case someone else has the same issue.
