I find this one to be a bit odd.

Normally they cost $9.97 see the following link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../312994495

At my local Big Orange's (AKA Home Depot) site, it says Limited stock and will not allow me to order it.

Brink Seek says they have 44.
While I was at my local Big Orange (BO), I found a display of this item that looks like it had at least 20.

What is the difference between the $8.88 straps vs.the $9.97 ones?
Other then a possible different UPC, I think they are the same.

UPDATE>>>>
  • There is a different UPC (located on the bottom right of the back of the package).
  • Also they have a different Product Number (think that is what it is called). The Product Number is located on the package on the front --right above the BONUS STORAGE BAG label (see image)-- and the back to the upper right (no image).
    • The product numbers are
    • For The $9.97 Item: 1005 411 670
    • For The $8.88 Item: 1006 794 698
The only other differences on the package is that the $9.97 was made in China (you can see that above the UPC code [No Image]), while the $8.88 was made in Vietnam (also no image),

Following your link brings me to a listing for 8.97, which is the same page I ordered these from last week from this deal:
https://slickdeals.net/f/15743593-4-pack-hme-camo-ratchet-strap-9-90-more-free-shipping-w-prime-or-on-25-or-free-store-pickup-at-home-depot?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Pricing varies region to region, and the site is not the most accurate.

Why not call it Home Depot? Why go to the trouble of changing the name to big orange, then make up an abbreviation for it? I don't understand

I've had a pair of these outside temporarily holding up my damaged wooden fence. Temporary, as in, 3 years and counting. Sun, rain and under stress. They are like new. Must have some UV protection on them.

Can't remember if it was during black friday or Christmas time when I bought these for around this price. They were on display along with the wrench set, socket extensions, and drill bits/impact driver bits, etc. They're really good for the price. I use them in automotive to secure transmissions to tranny jacks every day. I do wish the end strap with the ratcheting latch was shorter though.

Anyone know of a deal on any good non-ratchet straps? I personally like the cam buckle style for most situations.

Yes. And I appreciate the elaborate post and sharing a deal but these straps are like $10 all day long. It's one dollar cheaper....
