I bought this when it was first released, we pre-ordered it. Once it came in, it was a huge beautiful frame-like tablet, with all necessary mounting equipment included.

However, the negatives are the software. You get the same interface as you would on an echo show 8. It is completely useless, it feels clumsy , does not feel like it was developed well enough with its own software overlay. Instead, they loaded their basic echo show OS on a large 15" screen and called it a day.

I don't believe this is a finished product , it requires more work, we returned ours and just use a Fire Hd 10 Plus with a standing case instead.
" By The Way" is killing the Alexa.
Similar here but I kept mine. I think it's OK.... but pretty far from it's full potential. I think they have made some improvements but I haven't really messed with it much lately to see how much (if any) it has really improved.

Incidentally looks like it's VESA 100mmx100mm compatible, so I also ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 to go with it.

I read the reviews when it first came out, and I didn't get it at that time because of what you described. I'm hopeful that with firmware updates the experience has improved.

Exactly same for me. Ended up keeping my Show 10 (2nd ver). Figure by time I *really* need to upgrade they'll have v2 out for the 15" and it'll include custom software.

Did a trade in of a Generation 1 Echo for an additional $75 off (25% + $25).
Net $125 plus tax.

You're welcome.
Just out of curiosity, I was thinking about trading in one of mine, but it seemed that the fine print about the discount didn't include the ECHO Show 15, and it didn't seem like it would give you a discount code until after they received your trade-in. Were you actually able to get it to go through?

Was able to do the trade in for my old gen 1 echo. Both the 25% and $25 gift card applied to the echo show 15. After taxes it was $139.01 not a bad deal.

I did go through it again with a trade in - came out to $129. I was unable to cancel the first one in time, but it has free shipping back, so no problem.

We purchased this too when it was first released. Overall, the device is beautiful and when mounted looks great.

We have it mounted in a high trafficked area of the house and it is nice having a large screen to see time and temp from a distance. Also, the kids enjoy seeing family pictures cycling. Overall, its a good device.

Also, the ability to drop in on the camera has been very useful.
