Step 1) Buy LG V30 on eBay for $50 in flawless condition

Step 2) Root it and install Android 11 on it

Step 3) Enjoy all the features it has that are better than the Nord N200

Step 4) Instead of buying a yearly plan for ~$15/month through an MVNO, pay T-Mobile ludicrous amounts for their garbage plans so you can get a statement credit and a new Oneplus Nord N200.

Hard pass.

You'll still have to pay shipping and tax on the new phone. Comes out to $20-$30 depending on your sales tax. Just FYI

In the dropdown menu when choosing the phone, there's no option to choose a 'Z5g Upgrade Promo All Carriers'. Has it been removed? Does anyone know how to select an option for a flip phone that is not in the list?
I had issues trying to trade in a flip phone, from Amazon. Start typing an O. Than an option with ONLY 2022 ONEPLUS TRADE P5. I chose that one for all the options carrier, brand and model. Said that qualifies for the promo. YMMV. If you try it, at your own risk.

I switched to the $15/month prepaid T-Mobile Connect plan less than a year ago. Last month, I received a txt from T-Mobile saying that starting July 1st, T-Mobile is transitioning into the 5G network and will no longer support 3G phones. Plz go to any T-Mobile store and trade in your Moto IMEI xxxxx for a free 5G One Plus N200. I did and it was a straightforward no-hassle trade-in, cost-free and with no contract, at least for me!
Did they charge you $30 for instore service?

So my old phone qualified for the $219 trade in. After I placed order, received a text "A quote of $0 was accepted for your XXX device MEI xxxx Please return your trade-in blah blah blah" Did I just get screwed???

TM killed my 3g flip service ( Prepaid). No matter what the TM CSR said worked to get my replacement phone locally. No store would honor what the TM rep said should happen, e.g that I would be able to walk in and exchange my old phone for a new replacement with no fees and still get my minutes carried over.

no, the text message wont show promotional $219 offer. Since it qualified for $0, you will get entire $219.

Can someone please explain why this deal is so popular? This phone can be bought for like $200 unlocked new at BestBuy. Is mere 200$ credit towards a lower end phone for 24 month of commitment really worth it?

Got this phone on the same deal a few months ago, the phone is decent as a back up, but the camera is almost unusable. I use it as a back up and at this price obviously it fits that role well

It's good for family plan with multiple lines where you don't see any potential phone upgrade in the next 2 years for some of the lines and you have worthless old phones gathering dust (my two LG L9 for example). Now we will have a couple of somewhat capable backup phones.

Nope, not a penny!
OTOH, I logged in to my TMO acct but I am not seeing the option "ONLY 2022 ONEPLUS TRADE P5 " but "Purchase at Full Price" for $248. I chatted only to be told that my Samsung SGH-T259 and Samsung S6 are no longer eligible for trade-in, go figure!

I have 2 active lines with TMO both are prepaid for $15/month each. I think I'll go down dirty, go to the store and obtain a sim card for the flip phone. They might offer the switch right of the bat or wait for another TMO text for a free 5G phone upgrade.

If you read the thread, that has been explained (repeatedly). If it is of no interest to you, move along to the next deal.

I think prepaid is different promotion. Postpaid has the option.
