Using the Fire Toolbox and my wife's 2021 model Kindle Fire HD, it was easy. Highly recommend using Fire Toolbox even if there are easier ways to get Google Play to load, because of all the extra functionality it gives you (lets you turn off certain amazon apps, replace the launcher, change the screensaver, etc)
Can't speak to a lot of google play apps working, but the few that we did, work fine.

I have this and the non plus. It is worth it for the extra ram. You do not need the 64gb version. If you need more space get a micro sd card. These tablets also come with the latest firmware that disable you from getting rid of the lock screen ads with fire toolbox. You can still install the play store and all apps work but you may not get notifications from email clients social media ect.
After the dud Fire 10 HD, 2/32 version, became unusable, even with Google Play loaded, I'm pressed to upgrade to the 4/32 or 4/64. It's the awful wifi they use. But, the form factor, general quality, and PRICE, gets me looking. Fool me once....
Fwiw the max charge wattage I could get with this was 9.32W. With the iPad Pro 12.9 M1… 36.03W. I wasn't expecting that kind of power but figured usb C would have at least hit 15w… as Amazon sells a 15w "Fast" charger for it.
The interface isnt intuitive and easy to navigate as other tablets
Kinda requires prime membership to get the most out of it
The interface makes it really easy to accidentally buy something
their modified version of android makes some native android apps not play so well with the tablet
I will say they make great color e-book readers (comic manga guy myself), they make great 'tablets for kids' as they are fairly inexpensive, and they make great digital photo frames (that you can sync with external services like google photos, google drive, one drive, etc). So I might pick one up.

Is it worth to get the HD10 Plus over HD10? Also is the Kids HD10 version same as HD 10 with 2 year warranty? can i install play store on Kids HD10 same as regular HD 10?
I have an HD10 and it's a total slug. But it was also only $75 on Black Friday, so I can't really complain.
Are the Kids Pro version worth it? I need to get two tablets so was thinking of picking up the 32gb plus version and kids pro version. The kids pro version is the regular HD10 but comes with a 2 year warranty, case and amazon kids+ sub.
Thanks OP, great deal.
Not to hijack the thread - it uses MTK8183 which was the same one on 2019 fire HD 10. Anyone knows if there's any mid-range Android tablet using newer/better CPU out there, besides Samsung A8?

Thanks! For anyone who is interested, here is the link to Fire Toolbox web page and a YouTube video explaining how to use it. NOTE: The YouTube video mentions a link to access the Fire Toolbox, but it's a urlhasbeenblocked link. For safety sake, I included the actual link below.

And if you pick the dollar item at store you could get an additional $5 promotional Kohl's cash that makes it $25 Kohl's cash in all for a $100 tablet
