I have never done trading with Amazon, will the 20% deduct right away from the router or will be a credit for future purchase?

It's YMMV for each Amazon account. Some accounts they discount the 20% instant. Others you have to mail in. Then wait for the discount to be applied to your account. But if the latter is the case, you can usually chat with them and they'll apply it retroactively if you give them order number of your new Eeros.

So the 20% would be applied to my actual account? Not like a code or something to use? I'm pretty interested in doing this deal but worried about getting the 20% after the current 15% ends

Try to cancel the trade in and try again. Happened to me yesterday. You'll see at the end it will say the 20% off has been applied to your account and can be used immediately. Worked my second time. Edit: spelling

This is now up to a 25% discount, but doesn't make sense to do if you have to wait days without a router. I chatted with Amazon support and they applied a promo credit of 25% so I could place the order and not have to go without internet.
