It works terribly. I sent in a Ubiquiti AC-PRO WIFI access point (that is a PoE device) and they returned it saying it would not power on. Idiots are too stupid to figure out how a PoE injector works to supply power to the device (not to mention, apart from a LED there is no other indication the unit is on). They sent it back, charged me the credit they gave me, and I plugged it in and it worked fine.

They have to lowest level of tech-intelligence people checking the items.
So many different experiences. Here is mine. I had the Orbi RBK53 for years from Costco. The router unit finally died. I got the new orbi but some of my satellites weren't compatible. I got the google nest and my Wi-Fi was trash. Read tp link reviews and almost pulled the trigger. However I wanted to give the Eero a shot with the trade in deal. Got me this one and hooked it up. Yes dual band but surprisingly strong and steady so far, only been in my household since Saturday. Wi-Fi speeds are good, 500-600 down, my wired comps are about the same when I randomly run tests and my main unit is posting 980 down. Yes I'm missing some back end controls but so far in a house that is connected with four adults and a ton of devices and smart home gadgets it's holding up great. Sorry for the wall of text.
Have 3 Pros I bought right as the pandemic began. If I could do it again, I'd get something else. I think most people are better off with "basic" mesh networks. For those that do their own tinkering, eero blocks off a lot of the features and it's a common complaint on the eero subreddit.

I'd look at Orbi or Linksys Velop if i had to do it again.

Not to mention how eero nickel and dimes you for basic features, like traffic usage on your network.

Thanks OP! I was looking at this set yesterday to replace my Google home setup and Abode to eero 6+ and ring security. This is now more tempting.

Is this not a good set or price? Just noticed the thumbs down vote.

Good deal IMO. But keep in mind that these are Dual-band instead of Tri-band (like the Pro 6 models).

Also if you just need 1, then the 1 pack is on sale for $90 (or 2 pack for $155).

Bought this few weeks ago for $250. You think Amazon will price match? The product is alright. I am having disconnections but that could be due to my provider.

Anyone buying eero without research is in for a rough ride. I for one bought EeroPro6 and the performance is sub-par (compared to Tp-LINK/ASUS/Orbi). There's no local settings you can tweak (all cloud based and through app only) and their support is pretty (helpful but) useless.
Stay away if you live in a network congested environment like Apartments.

It was a expensive lesson indeed.

Does this share any usage/data/tracking with Amazon or require Amazon account during set up?

Looks like some models you have to be a Prime member for, but you don't have to if buying from Eero's website - https://eero.com/sale

e.g. the Eero 6+ 2 pack is $155 only with Prime, but you can get it on Eero.com without Prime
