I would regard this as the BEST balanced version of the BEST balanced laptop that has been released in the past few years. It checks basically every box for every user looking at a powerful laptop, not just gamers. If I hadn't gotten a great deal on an Asus M16 for $1300 last year, this would be the exact spec and price point where I would instantly purchase a Legion 5 Pro. In fact, if I had any chance of reselling my M16 for what I paid for it, I would swap it for this no questions asked.
I snagged one too, but it never shipped and I called them and they said it was on back order. Ended up getting one from B&H[bhphotovideo.com].
Get the B&H Payboo Card[bhphotovideo.com] and it will be tax-free… $1599 and you get 32 GB of RAM and it's advertised as a 1 TB SSD, but mine came with two 1 TB SSD's. It also comes with windows 11 Professional instead of Home. So basically, if you pay with the Payboo card, you get 16GB more RAM, Windows 11 Pro and, if you're lucky like I was, two 1 TB drives, for around $100 more.
The build quality on the Lenovo is fantastic. Not a bit of flex in a 5+lb laptop. Screen is amazing, keys are good, but not great for a laptop. Ports galore. The screen is fantastic - I know I said that before, but it's worth repeating: 2K, 400 nits. Plus the Lenovo will run off of a USB-C power supply . That's been a surprisingly nice feature.
That said, I paid the same amount 8 months ago for half the RAM. The price should be coming down on these, especially since we've got new stuff around the corner.

It pops in and out of stock. It was available just a few hours ago and will probably come back into stock. Has been doing the same thing for weeks now.

Popped back in stock. Managed to snag one. Thanks OP

I had ordered one of these 4/28. The order status never updated until they finally canceled the order on 5/5. Went for the Alienware M15 R5 instead but am still hopeful that it'll pop back into stock. Would love to at least compare it to the Alienware

Not a good deal anymore, you can get a 12700h/3070 Gigabyte laptop at bestbuy for 1499.00 regular price now.

I ordered one from Walmart a few weeks ago and got it no problem.
If you can avoid buying the 32GB factory RAM, you're better off upgrading it yourself and using dual rank memory instead of the stuff Lenovo uses. You'll notice 5-10% better CPU performance because Ryzen CPUs are very memory-sensitive.
Without cashback, this is not a compelling deal. This same machine was on sale several times last year (when it was even harder to get parts) where it came out to this similar price *net*, and usually came with a 1tb hdd.
Price aside, this is a very nice machine. The screen and build quality are the stars of the show. The main issues are the use of single-rank memory and the possibility that you'll get a card with Micron GDDR6 as opposed to Samsung (mainly an issue with ETH mining)

I already ordered ram replacement. And a few weeks ago they were shipping... now they are on back order. Call them and ask.

I just received my order from ebay yesterday. Same specs with this deal but has 1 tb ssd and $10 cheaper. I am very happy with my purchase. This laptop is amazing, build quality is top notch, and yes the qhd 16:10 screen makes all the difference. Also I can confirm that I got the samsung vram with it. I might be lucky

I got the Micron ram from B&H, but I don't do any mining.
