Only things is when i ordered it they said 3 business days shipping.after the order was placed the confirmation email said 8.
Still a great deal i can wait.
First I will mention, check your local utilities. My electric company offered an extra $30 rebate when buying a battery powered mower, helps with the cost a bit.
It took a while for me to get a working mower. Fedex damaged the first one and I had to send it back. DTO took a while to process the return and send me a replacement, I had to call a few times to get the ball rolling, not happy about that. The replacement mower had an issue right out of the box where the back wheel rattled and locked up sometimes (this was blemished, not refurb). This time I called Ryobi and took it to a local licensed repair shop. Sure enough, it was just a nut floating around in the wheel for some reason, after that, I was good to go.
I have only cut with it twice so far. The quality of the cut I think is in par with my Toro gas mower, but I have not mowed anything very high yet. I have 1/4 arce lot and the the 1st battery died just as I finished my final pass my first time mowing. Even with a 1/4 Acre, I think 2 batteries is a must as a safety net here. I think that is where the real value comes in with this mower. I also picked up an extra 4ah battery was a blower for $70 a few weeks back from DTO. You can't beat these price.
The automatic walk is a little slow for my taste, especially coming from Toro Personal Pace. But considering a Toro with 2 batteries could run you over $750, I think the value is really there with this mower. I have had clean consistent cuts so far and the vertical storage allowed me to keep it along side my gas mower still, as I am not really to say goodbye to that mower just yet.
For the price, personally I think you can't beat it. It is quieter, easy to move around and is so easy to start and stop, it can make mowing a relaxing experience. Also for anybody new to battery mowers, you can use the automatic walk without powering the blade. It comes in handy more often than you might think.
It just depends on what you need. The $300 one comes with 2 batteries, which it needs. Trying to use 1 battery wont really cut it unless you have a really small lawn. The $300 mower will last 70 minutes (advetised) so using only 1 battery would only last ~35minutes or less if the run times are accurate.
The $215 model can run 42 minutes as advertised on 1 battery.
I was debating the same thing, ended up deciing the $300 model wasnt necessary since my lawn isnt very big.
Am now deciding between the $215 model and the $167 model. Both have similar run times, the cheaper model is not self propelled and doesnt use HP technology.

Other than overpricing and not as rigid as sterl
I know gas vs. wired / battery power one debate is controversial. I was hesitant few years back, took some time to get used to of Gas small engine maintenance. Once you know what to do, it is really piece of cake.
Are the batteries interchangeable with other Ryobi 40v tools?

yes and yes, just don't let the grass get crazy long and don't cut it wet
