I have one at work and can't imagine a day without it. With other macros (Excel, Power Automate Desktop, etc.) this frees up time and attention so that I do fewer repeating tasks and more value-adding works.

My use is probably around 200 button-presses per day. Time saved was about 1-1.5 hour per day when I measured a month ago. A god-sent device for a person who doesn't have an assistant like me.
Just because I learned about it from a post on this device...Touch Portal is a really good substitute if you have a weak old tablet lying around. I've got it set up on an old Samsung and it's great. Fully programmable and saved my life during online teaching last year.

Thanks, in for 1. I always miss it when it goes on sale at Woot for $90, so $95 directly from Amazon with overnight shipping is p good.

What is this thing? I'm sure I don't need one since I have no idea what it is but now I'm curious what it does... I guess I should just Google it. 😂

It's a macro pad with customizable keys. It basically simplifies hotkeys in a dedicated device.

For instance, if you had different tool presets in Photoshop, you could set each one to a different button and not have to go through the menus.

Seems to be super well rated on amazon with an exorbitant amount of 5 star reviews too. Don't know if I really need it but for 30% off, I'll take it! Could be useful for productivity as I'm a student studying applied math. Thanks OP.

When compared to the original Stream Deck, these are the changes in Stream Deck MK.2:

Interchangeable Faceplates - Learn more
USB Type C port with a detachable USB-C cable
Detachable 45-degree fixed angle stand

All other features remain the same, such as 15 LCD keys and those in the Stream Deck software such as folders, Multi Actions, key customization, Music, Sound effects and more.

If you want a macropad for pure speed I'd recommend a duckypad instead: https://www.tindie.com/products/d...-macropad/

Also you can scroll through profiles on the device and it has an OLED screen to see what your macros are, backlit keys, etc.

But it'll take 2 weeks to get to you, you have to put it together (not that it's hard, the board is hotswap so no soldering), def not as durable unless you 3D print a case, and if you don't like it I guess it's not as easy to just return it like Amazon.
I have two, well worth the investment. Active Discord to share scripts and ideas.

Not a shill. These plus learning a little coding has changed my life.

The stream deck has screens in every button which is much better.
