It's marked down to this price a lot. And I've found this very useful for scraping off the tiny bits of rice, veggies, sauce, etc off a plate or bowl. Well worth the purchase!

Lodge makes scrapers that are hard plastic— which is what you want for actual scraping. Silicone will have limited uses on pans. However, this is a great tool for getting fur and hair off of upholstered furniture and car seats!

The silicone is nice for gripping sauces or other liquidy messes. Good for getting more junk into your trash can instead of down the sink where it can screw up your piping/sewers.

At this price I'll give it a shot. I thought for sure all the comments on here would be negative but it sounds like a good tool to have.I thought this was a caulk scraper at first, I wonder if it would work for that.
