I'm not trying to be mean but you either have the money or you don't. There is no gray area. If you are sacrificing or struggling to spend a few hundred bucks, then find a different hobby that's cheaper and work on having savings so you are not paycheck to paycheck

Are you on drugs? The dude is a troll... Obviously. Maybe you missed their initial post though so I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
I was also informing people, from someone that has owned nearly every console since the N64 came out and own all 3 current gen consoles and a gaming PC. Dealing with the PS3 generation credit card issues was by far the worst experience I had with ANY console issues, including RRoD. The QoL improvements the series x has made combined with game pass has made it the most approachable and user friendly video game player ever. Quick Resume, Auto HDR, FPS boost, smart downloads, VRR, 120hz support, 1440p support, etc., the list goes on. Those reasons and gamepass are why my series x gets the most playtime. PS5 has good exclusives but they are pretty short, so gets the least playtime. The exclusives situation will likely change dramatically in the next year or two as well. Either way blessed to be able to have it all, but if it could only be one, it would be a Series X.
Mine was June 8 expected date and I got mine yesterday.
I'm waiting for the Series X to finally go on sale, and not be a deal just since they claim it's "in stock."
Congrats on having the disposable income to "por que no los dos?" the latest gen consoles, but many people don't have the budget for two consoles and two sets of games.
If you really meant DVD watching go to Best Buy's recycling counter, lot of DVD players on the floor.

Edited:
Just googled and found that every Xbox game is available as a part of Xbox play anywhere.

Is there anything I am missing? If the experts can chime in it would help educate me.

But here's some suggestions for yourself and many.
Most gamers own at least a PS4/Xbox One.
Many places like GameStop were/are giving $200 and sometimes $300 credit. That's at least halfway towards a console purchase.
Anyone can easily buy the PS5/Series X saving/making money within the year plus these consoles have been out. Just $60 a month would have gotten you there, if you're online right now posting them you can make this money everyday if not more.
Finally no need to buy many games, I own currently about 20 games at most between both consoles. PS5/Series X are a dream for console gamers.
Love them both, been playing PS5 more lately though

Lol everyone hated on him and disliked the comment but he's not wrong… most people DONT have the money for 2 consoles… they want one or the other, and if they really want both they'll get both and use them differently when they want to. A lot of people I've seen buy the Xbox for their kids/children and buy the ps5 for themselves so they get best of both worlds in a way
Microsoft needs to maintain the ability to verify membership for subscription based games. If it didn't require a connection for Gamepass games, how do they verify your subscription? I guess they could verify with the end date of the subscription, and sync to the console, but then people could simply keep changing the date/time in their console?
Personally, I would implement an offline feature to allow up to 72 hours of playing without a connection, and have an internal timer, which isn't tied to the time/date setting of the console. This internal timer would simply reset every time it is connected, and membership is verified. I guess it would be possible on a closed system like a console. Given the ease of hacking on PC, I don't see how they could implement something like this.

I have the same expected ship date and hence hesitate to order. How many days did it take to arrive after you placed the order? Thanks.
