That sounds like a lot of work! And you have to use Facebook. No thanks.

Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

It would be more than $10. The prorated amount is usually around $55 or so,depending on the original price of the tool.

I've done this before and usually get $85 to $90 out of the batteries. It's not that bad dealing with marketplace for tools, just respond to a few messages and set a meeting place and I've never had any issues.
But still, the time involved just doesn't seem worth it, I sell the extra batteries from kits on ebay usually, no mess, no fuss. 5 minutes and done. I don't have to worry about "is this still available" and "would you take half the asking price"

Novice here. Anyone have experience with the router? Is it easy to handle for someone that has never used one before?

Attempting to make shelves and cabinets for a pantry refresh.

Which tools are "listed"?
I should have said "pictured"

The first picture that shows up on this deal page shows all of the tools that qualify for the deal.

I get it. I don't deal much with ebay because of the fees, shipping, and then the chance of problems after the sale. Marketplace is much less fuss for me. And like I said, I generally have less issues with potential buyers in the tool category.

This ryobi model was my first experience with a router. It was easy to use, just watch some YouTube videos on how to set depth and which bits to use. Also, practice on a scap piece a few times, otherwise I've had no problems with it at all.

Hmm I bought this exact battery set 50 days ago. I already opened the box though and used the battery just once. Do you think I could return it still or ask them to give me a tool? The returns say there's a 90 day window for unopened boxes....
Buy the batteries again, get the free tool. Return the unopened batteries with your old receipt, keep the tool.

Looking to buy a cordless drill. Would this be a good deal?
The 4ah batteries are pretty heavy for a drill. They're really meant for things like saws or long running flashlights.

For the same $100, you can get a drill, impact driver, 2x 1.5ah batteries and 1x 4ah High Performance battery. Sell off the big battery if you don't expect to be using a tool that will benefit from it. Should be able to get the drill and driver for under $50 in the end.

That pic is not all of the tools that qualify for the deal. The picture says +MORE and the page gives an option of adding a sprayer or fogger which aren't in the pic. I'm waiting for the website to update with all of the qualifying tools.

If you add one of the other tools listed to your cart manually along with the battery set, it will show up at the correct sale price in your cart. The deal just went live today, I'm sure they'll have it fixed soon.
Tried doing that and it's not working. A window pops up saying frequently bought with but then the price of the item stays. Will try again later

The fees suck, but nearly 500 transactions the last year and only issues with one, happens less than you think.

It works on all the items pictured. Simply add the batteries to your cart. Then look for the "free" tool from the picture that you want. Add that tool to your cart and the prices should adjust in your cart. It did for me with the hedge trimmer. Made both the tool and the batteries $49.50 each. I hope this helps.
Not working for the pruning chainsaw.

In for the sprayer. Cheaper than the 2 gal tank alone. Anyone think we'll be able to return the batteries in store?
