That sounds like a lot of work! And you have to use Facebook. No thanks.

Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

Mercari. eBay. OfferUp... You'd be surprised the amount of folks that don't realize that the sale even happens...

I think it is out of stock, there were only 1,200 available for shipping when I posted/ordered mine.

Was able to place order for store pick-up then go back in on desktop and cancel just the batteries.
It doesn't allow me, did you place order in the app or web browser in mobile?

I'd avoid mercari. They banned me without reason. I only bought things. I read several sellers lost a ton of money after they were banned and weren't paid for their sales. Pretty sketchy.

I've sold things on offerup, Facebook, and craigslist. Facebook is typically easiest because of direct messages. Lots of people wasting your time asking "is it available" and "would you take $5" for a $300 item. I'm guessing it depends where you are, but in my area you'd be lucky to get $70 for 2 ryobi batteries. I'd know, I bought two 4 ah hp batteries new in box for 40 (what they were listed for and nobody ele wanted them!)

Odd question. I'm looking at getting into dog sports. In dog sports you're often required to keep your dog in a crate for a couple hours while you're waiting to compete. I haven't participated yet but I always see 18v ryobi fans in the crates when I'm volunteering or spectating at events. A lot of people seem to highly recommend them. I never see any other brands.

Is this because ryobi truly makes the perfect dog crate fan or because there's not a lot of overlap between people who participate in akc dog sports and those who have power tools and ryobi is the cheapest? Along with dog training im a semi-professional woodworker. Currently I'm bought into Kobalt 24v Ridgid 20v and milwaukee 12v. I really don't want to buy into another battery platform with another charger and batteries, but if ryobi truly has the best dog crate fan I realize this would be the best time to buy. Unfortunately I just can't find a lot of comparisons between the fans, because most people just don't care about fans lol.

The free tool sets this deal over the top. I paid the same price just for two HP+ 4.0Ah batteries not that long ago.

Looking to buy a cordless drill. Would this be a good deal?
If you're thinking cordless drill, you're almost certainly better off getting that in a kit with several other tools.

If you want this deal to get these high capacity batteries, you're better off choosing something other than the drill.

I got a Ryobi cordless hammer drill similar to the one sold here from their outlet store in "factory blemished" condition for under $15 including sales tax earlier this year. "Factory Blemished" from Direct Tools Outlet typically means "like new, in an unopened box" as I've bought about 8 or 9 tools from them, and all were new in box.

I saw the same thing.

You have to add both items separately to your cart and a discount will auto apply to both items. I just got planer and batteries for 100ish

Can't speak to use in dog crates. We have 4 clamp fans, the one you are referencing (7.5" or so?) and the air canon. Got my mother in law to get her own air canon for a cabin on a lake without AC. Would recommend any of their fans. Now are they better than other brands? Only ever used corded or like AA, AAA, or D battery fans. I'd say as good as corded and easier to keep track of a larger Ryobi battery vs regular batteries or something (we are ALWAYS out when we need anything not AA or AAA - Ryobi also don't roll away).

I was anti-batteries until I learned about Ryobi's depth of product line. Fans…wife now has a cordless glue gun. Obviously tools, lights. Have the USB adapter to make a battery into a massive backup phone/tablet battery. They keep coming up with new stuff, but, as an casual hobbyist woodworker, I can spend time on other hobbies while wood is so expensive. Also, Direct Tools Outlet is owned by the same parent company. Tons of even better deals. Factory blemished is their way of getting around Home Depot exclusivity, but brand new, same warranty, etc. It is about 50/50 it even has a factory blemish sticker on the box. Otherwise, wouldn't know if it came off the shelf from DTO or HD. Worth a look. As a semi-pro, probably don't need to replace as often. 2-3 times annually, you can get the 6 tool starter kit with batteries/chargers for $199, cheaper at DTO. It is many of our gateways into the endless Ryobi pit 😂

This guy shows how to make an adapter to use Ryobi 18v batteries in a 40v tool. He also shows how to make a 40v to 18v adapter. This really opens up possibilities since I just bought two 40v Ryobi tools.

Same. But I'm curious if that fogger is good for mosquito fogging?
Yes, this is for temporary pest control. You an treat an area before an outdoor get together and not have to deal with mosquitos. I think it only works for a few hours, but its better than nothing for sure.
