That sounds like a lot of work! And you have to use Facebook. No thanks.

Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

Is the 1/2" Hammer Drill included in this offer junk or decent?
Same question.

Same question.
Now I'm thinking maybe to get the 3 HP battery pack for $200 with the HP Hammer Drill! Looking for feedback on what's the better deal if you're keeping the tools for a lifetime but use infrequently.

Infrequently used tools I will go with the brushed tools, (I have lots of batteries) and save your money.
For everyday or lots of use (or if you do not have many batteries) I will go with brushless tools. And the tools are nice to your batteries, ie the batteries last longer.

Thank you so much. If I just need a hammer drill for infrequent use, should I go with the $138 rigid deal with hack or the hammer drill in this deal?

Depends on what batteries you already have. If you have both types or no batteries then ryobi or rigid will work.

Personally I would go with Ryobi but that is because they (and now me) have lots of tools and other accessories (ie lights, air pumps etc.)that go along with the 18v batteries. And I am happy with Ryboi tools. I have had no issues except one hybrid trimmer after 2.5 years of use, but HD replaced it free and the trimmer I have now is better and still going.

I bought the hammer drill some 5 years ago.. it was 3 - 4ah batteries, charger and the hammer drill $149. I still use it today on occasion, about 3-5 times a year and works great into concrete sidings and slabs. And the batteries I use all the time.

The 4ah batteries are pretty heavy for a drill. They're really meant for things like saws or long running flashlights.

For the same $100, you can get a drill, impact driver, 2x 1.5ah batteries and 1x 4ah High Performance battery. Sell off the big battery if you don't expect to be using a tool that will benefit from it. Should be able to get the drill and driver for under $50 in the end.

Buy the batteries again, get the free tool. Return the unopened batteries with your old receipt, keep the tool.
Can you return the tool for a prorated amount and keep the batteries?

I don't see the "13 in. Cordless Battery String Trimmer/Edger" as part of the free tool online, and when I add both batteries and it, the price is not the promotional price.

Has anyone been able to get this 13 in. Cordless Battery String Trimmer/Edger as part of the promotion? Is it available in-store?
