Did I ever tell or give off the impression to anyone not to demo speakers for themselves?

Jay is in his early 20's and doesn't listen to the eagles or vinyl, in fact right now he only streams music. Andrew Robinson is in his early to mid 40's and likes to listen to grudge rock.

I agree with you that speakers can sound very different depending on the genre of music you listen to. And that is exactly why I described these as "audiophile vintage speakers." You yourself said they could sound really amazing (audiophile) with older music (vintage).

Reviews should be taken with a grain of salt if you don't trust the reviewer. Let me give you a couple examples, a round earth and climate change. If a person on reddit said the earth were flat, and showed me nice pictures of old maps and even a newer printed map, maybe I should believe this person. Or I could just listen to a phd astrophysicist, a professional. So then you say sometimes the professionals are paid off (climate change). And then you have to rely on the fact that 99% of the scientific (professional) papers on the subject say it is real.

I didn't give my subjective opinion of the speaker. I've given you multiple professional opinions from very different reviewers. If you don't trust one of them, watch the others and triangulate to determine what is real and what is BS. I did that and distilled it down for everyone in one sentence. "This deal is for someone who is into audiophile vintage speakers."

For everyone else that wants to argue with me, look up the dunning kruger effect. Then write a rebuttal of why these aren't vintage audiophile speakers with cited examples of why not.

I remember in the late 90's Best Buy had a set of KLH 15" 4 or 5 way speakers that were among the lowest price- $200 for the pair maybe? We put them in our room with a power matched Aiwa receiver. We'd knock stuff off the walls but don't think they were winning any audiophiles' hearts. Haven't seen the brand since.

Don't go by YouTube reviews alone. You need proper matching components to get the full potential of these speakers. Else you will be disappointed. Don't buy these if you don't know what you are getting into.

The brand pretty much existed as a familiar name to slap on mediocre products for years. A few years ago an ex-Klipsch exec bought them to turn them around and so far it's looking good. I have a pair of model 5s downstairs and they are nice speakers.

Surprised to see KLH here, especially at this price point. I remember back to around 2006, my buddy and I were in high school and he got a KLH E12db, a 12 inch downfiring sub, for under $200 at Costco. He paired it with TV speakers (27 inch CRT) somehow, the sub made a lot of boom, and we thought it was cool.

Much later I had forgotten about the brand and sometimes confused it with KEF. Then I learned KEF is a premium brand whereas KLH is probably more similar to "Dual" from walmart.

Not knocking on these speakers at all, but just mentioning KLH made some budget stuff earlier on. According to Wikipedia:

"In January 2017, Kelley Global Brands bought the company and renamed it to KLH Audio. The company makes premium high-end speakers."
