Recently started working full-time at home. Was looking for a good deal on a decent purifier for my workspace and found this deal:

Currently debating between this deal and another one that's a little cheaper from the same brand: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coway-.../899989299

The review seems decent and they fit my room nicely. Just curious if it's a good enough deal? Any advice?

This is the best of the major brand air purifiers since it has a pre-filter screen. The screen plus the charcoal filter removes 95% of the dust before it hits the hepa filter, thus extending the life of the hepa filter tremendously. I will never buy an air filter again that does not have the pre-filter screen which you simply vacuum every couple of weeks.

Use the OEM filter. If you're going to spend the money on a decent air purifier, don't cheap out on the most important part of the entire unit.

It's still useful information. It doesn't mean don't buy, but it provides the most relatively recently base price.

I appreciate seeing those posts when I'm trying to judge a deal. I get the feeling some people are hostile to them because they want to feel like they got the best deal ever.

Only get the coway filters. More pleats means more airflow and filtering. It depends on what speed and how bad your air is. Safe to say every six months.

I have three of these and a 400.

Does the smell go away? I have the 200M and have been hesitant of even getting the official Coway filters off of Amazon because of the reviews on the smell. I can't tell if its just the recent few years batch or somehow there are knockoffs.

Had this one for a year, I think it was $125 when I bought it. No complaints. Works great, the auto sensing feature is my favorite and it has been pretty accurate, I have it on all the time in my bedroom and it totally makes a difference in sleep quality. I sleep much better now.
