But on a semi-related note: the marketing for network speeds has gotten a little out of control and this is arguably very misleading when it says "1 GB ethernet".

For anyone getting this and hoping to achieve 1 gigabyte/s speed, know this won't do that. GB (with a big b) typically means gigabyte but this (and all internet packages that advertise "gig speed") is 1 gigabit/s speed. A gigabit is 1/8 of a gigabyte, so if you want 1+ gigabyte/s speed on a network device, you'd need a 10Gbe port.

this is very bad modem, troubled me for a long time with recurring disconnections, finally bought netgear 1100 and no issues then
