Yeah, after trying multiple cc, and finally being able to order, meijers sent me notification that they canceled the order ...I purchased 10 physical cards, may be if you go with lesser quantities or e-gift cards you'd have better lock. Props to OP but what a pain this turned out to be ...

I added Meijer customer support info in Wiki. For those getting declined, call your CC issuer to remove any fraud / security alerts on your card and /or let them know about your gift card purchase.

Is there any way to prevent the fraudsters from draining your gift cards? I'd like to buy some now since they're a bargain but don't need them right away

This was not a Citi card.

Edit: I checked with my credit card company about the charge. They said they did not decline the charge.

Keep a copy of your order receipt. Occasionally check your GC balances - only on Lowe's [lowes.com] website.

If you find suspicious activity, contact Lowe's so they can look up activity on the GC.

Hi there, I updated Wiki w/ another common issue with online GC orders: address mismatch (if you live in an apt or condo where the street address is split on 2 lines). The other suggestion is not use VPN.

I would suggest making a small order instead of buying 10 at once.
