I bought this laptop open-box for 1200 off BBY tbh it's a beast of a laptop for this price it's in line with the 3080 laptop version at a significantly cheaper price. Downside is this laptop often comes with slow ddr4 memory so it doesn't really get it's full performance although many have upgraded the memory to a faster one and has increased the performance by 5-15%.

The AMD Adrenaline software allows you to increase the speed of the RAM .For some reason many mobos seem to default to a much slower speed than the RAM is capable of handling. I am not a tech geek but it seems to be similar to overclocking your CPU (which the Adrenaline software also allows you to do).

If this is using the same RAM as the non QHD version it isn't just the speed of RAM, its the amount of chips being used on the RAM. So a ram upgrade is necessary to get the full performance.

I bought this laptop last year and it's been fantastic. I did upgrade the ram as that was the weakest point in the system, but I've had no real issues. AMD Adrenaline takes care of all the performance for me. It does run a bit hot at times, but I've not had it go above 90 so far. Battery is awful as expected (I think 4 hrs is the most I've gotten), but I keep it plugged in with USB-C out to a 1440p monitor at 165hz. I keep a steady 165 in Apex medium settings , around 105 in Halo Infinite medium settings, and around 100 in Risk of Rain at high settings (with drops towards the later levels down into the 60s). I don't care for the look of the laptop, but the build quality is good and the screen is quite good (I have the 1080p 300hz screen). I got it for coding and gaming on the go, as I travel a lot and it has suited my needs well.
