I take this back. Done some researches, and turned out VA panel is indeed better than IPS panel for Coders, due to much higher contrast (text display) and deeper black (no light bleed), so would be much better for using dark themes in dark room.
Main advantages of IPS screen is that they are better for fast moving object (i.e., when playing action video games...), but I hardly play these days...
And finally, this is Samsung VA. Many folks said it is much better than other brands.
At this price, it's a no brainer for me. In 4 1. Thanks, OP!

I believe they're referring to it not being curved so you might have to pivot your eyes and head a bit to see shift your view from the left extent of the screen to the right extent of the screen and vice versa. I personally have this monitor and don't have an issue with it being flat. I think the strain and head movement issue isn't relevant to everyone because everyone does different types of work /gaming on their computer screens.

You get what you pay for... if you do not mind straining your neck and are ok with 75hz, then $249 is a decent deal.
What's wrong with it?

Rtings gave it a scathing review due to bad ergonomics, if u use a Vesa mount it won't matter

WQHD is just Wide Quad HD (HD is 720p), and refers to the screen resolution. To answer your question this is a Samsung VA panel, which has better blacks than an IPS panel, but slightly less color accuracy.

no adjustable stand can be solved with vesa mount

however, no curve is a big no for me at this size, especially va panel. you will get bad viewing angles and major eye/neck strain in most environments

I use this monitor from WFH and I have no issues with it for the price (was $250 months ago too). However, the stand is not a VESA mount, so don't think you'll be able to fix the no tilt/rise issue if you aren't ok with it. Stand is a piece of plastic the monitor clicks into at a fixed angle.

Just bought that 35 inch from Costco few days back...worth taking this over that to save some money? Only noticeable differ3nce is LG is 100 hz only by displayport and curved and 1 inch more in size...
