How do you get the credit for using a corp card? Is it just if you sign up when logged into the Corp card? Or any idea if I can go in and request a credit for the fee after signing up thorugh this link?
Maybe I should clarify, I am talking about Personal Gold and Plat. I received enough Points and money back in retention to make these free for me to keep
Pro-tip: If you travel at least a few times a year, get Schwab AMEX Plat and transfer it to your Schwab investment account at 1.1x rate. Just transferred 250,000 MR points for $2,750 after banging my head trying to figure out which airline to transfer to and when. I prefer to use $ instead of points for flights since I'm subscribed to a flight deal newsletter and I want the credit card protection for my trips in case something goes wrong.
Yeah that's my plan next if I can't figure out any redemptions that work. My parents are retired as well so I'm thinking of just replacing their normal economy flights with business ones, in return for a discount on what they would pay for economy.
I assume the monthly Uber credit will stack on top of another monthly Uber credit (such as from the Platinum)?
New to this card, so sorry for the newbie questions.
The dining bonus is a $10 credit per month when the card is used at any of the eligible establishments, and if it's not used, there would not be any credit obviously. Does the Uber credit work the same way (I.e., spend first get a statement credit)?

No, it's not statement credits. You add your Gold card to your Uber account, Uber directly adds $10 to your Uber Cash balance on the last day of each month. It'll list the expiration date for that portion of the balance in your Uber account.
Annual Fee is immediate. Points awarded after 4k in spend. When you cancel, the points are deducted from your account. not really sure how you could actually do this successfully.
Open a free AMEX card and transfer points over before canceling the card.

I've had many, many credit cards over the years (for bonus purposes), but only 1 amex. I HATED it. So many places i use refused it. Very frustrating, especially when trying to meet the minimum spend. Granted, you have 6 months on this one.
Solid if you would take advantage of the benefits and use it with the bonus points categories. MR points are honestly a pain in the ass though imo, especially if you don't like dealing with the complexity of finding ways to maximize the points.
I just don't have the time or flexibility to use them and get good value out of it, so I've just been happy with using Chase UR -> Hyatt and Capital One miles for travel redemptions 1:1. The venture cards are my current favorite recommendations for ease of us.
Business plat gets you 1.55 cents per point towards any flight with your preferred airline. If you fly a lot domestically, you can funnel your points through that quite easily. It's hard to get more value per point unless you're traveling internationally.
Horrible advice. Amex is known to take away the bonus if you cancel before the first year. Wait for the second annual fee to hit your account then you have 30 days to cancel. You still don't end up paying the second fee but you don't piss Amex off.

What if you have the platinum as well? Do the credits stack, making it $25 a month?
