I'm terribly unorganized and these bottom freezer drawers end up hiding a bunch of frozen foods that I forget about because it's hard to access them.
If anyone else has this problem, I highly recommend trying out the 4-door fridges (mine is Samsung).

Got a kitchenaid and frigidaire in the basement (one's a freezer, other fridge. Can't recall which is which). What I do know is they're both from the early 2000's. One from 2001, other 2006. Still working fine today. They use traditional compressors.
This whole experience with the fridge literally dying in a span of 2-3 days really left bad taste about the company. Fridge was barely 5 years old. Cost around $1800. I feel for those that paid $3K+ for this LG garbage.
Search for the famous LG compressor issue. Majority of the techs would not want to touch LG refrigerator. Sorry will never ever recommend LG appliance in my life
99% of the time deals on fridge are for those who are putting up with old fridges which are still functional, not when fridges broke unless you are extremely lucky.
Having said that, don't feel bad if you already bought a fridge for a higher price because you need one at the time. People who bought this deal got another functional fridge in use mostly since the chance of your fridge broke and deals like this pop on the same day are very rare.
If an echo scans your wifi and sees it, they'll send you the Amazon link for the filter when it runs out.

Don't worry Samsung and LG's business model depends on their $2000-3000 fridges and appliances dying after 1-2 years and you coming back to buy more. It's called the subscription model just like Microsoft Office 365.
Suggest anyone looking for a new fridge go look at open box stuff rather than pay full price. Plus you dont have to worry as much about your new fridge getting damaged by your kids or whatever as that cherry has already been popped.
I wasn't gonna buy Samsung but the price was right and the thousands of review were overwhelmingly good, plus ive got bestbuy warranty for 2 years from totaltech so screw it, if anything breaks theyll come fix it.
To a point, I don't blame the Karen who complained about a small dent and returned it. Unfortunately, the big box store policy is that the consumer should inspect items before accepting delivery. If there is damage, then the consumer can refuse delivery and request refund or wait for a new appliance for re-delivery. Big box stores do not offer a partial refund on damage items.
TLDR: If I paid full price on an item then I would expect there shouldn't be any blemishes or dents. You should not have to compromise your self dignity to appease the internet.
According to comments on reddit, their newer models still use a similar linear compressor which suggests its lifespan may be limited. Even if they offer 10 years on parts, labor is quite involved to replace a compressor.
If the tech is A&E, LG's provider of choice, best of luck.
