Loctite Super Glue Liquid Tube, 2 pack, 0.7 oz Tube
Product Description:
Loctite Super Glue Liquid has proven superior performance over ordinary super glues. It works faster and holds stronger on more surfaces than ordinary instant adhesives thanks to a patented additive. The liquid formula works well on a variety of porous and non-porous surfaces and close fitting repairs. It dries clear and sets without clamping. Loctite Super Glue Liquid is resistant to moisture, most chemicals and freezing temperatures.
This stuff is so convenient to have around. I tried the gel version and found that it's a lot more versatile because it's more viscous, stays where you put it (less accidentally gluing your fingers together haha), and fills small gaps better. So that's what I buy now. Store it in the fridge and it keeps for years. $2.94 for the same quantity gel version.
E.g. Thin super glue can weep into thin cracks to bond partially cracks objects, but epoxy is too thick and viscous to do that, so it's better for filling big gaps.
E.g. Epoxy bonds deteriorate under uv exposure outdoors. But unlike superglue that can't take much exposure to water, heat,,etc, epoxy comes in versions for high temperatures, water exposure , etc (see jb weld epoxies).
Eg. Epoxies require mixing before application to apply, superglue does not.
Eg epoxy can set without moisture / air humidity, superglue will never set without moisture (trick for faster superglue setting, blow out over the bonded area and superglue! Don't breath in the vapors.).
Eg superglue can't take bending. It's great against pulling, but bend the bond and it'll give quick. Epoxy is more like steel in taking pulling and bending.
....
Example of why there's so many different adhesives.
Eg
Epoxy can be used for bonding smartphones together after replacement of a broken back or screen, and better than superglue since it can take the expansion/contracting/twisting phone bodies experience. But can be messy since it's like honey and can get everywhere you don't want applying a bead. Plus, nearly impossible to take the phone apart later - very resistant to prying and cutting.
Superglue can work if the fit is perfect, but if not, will quickly fail at holding the phone together since it can't take twists and bending well. Can be dissolved with acetone for disassembly.
Superglue + uv activated polymer like those used by the phone makers to bond screens etc.
The polymer provides fill and flexibility, sets in 10 seconds under the uv light included, and in my experience, keeps phones bonded well.
Not as tough a epoxy, so a sharp knife can cut the bond and can be pried.

They also have super glue at dollar stores. Around here they have these red ones where there's a squeeze button which makes it super easy to use. It's the only one that doesn't completely cake up and be unusable after a month of being opened and used.

the dollar store version is the only one in the market that could be reused again and again after its opened and used for months?
and a squeeze button? never heard or seen it. is it just a tube with a cap?

I was just about to suggest the dollar store. I was getting tired of always misplacing the super glue or finding it only to have it be sealed shut so I started buying the four pack at the dollar store and just using it and throwing it away. Keep it if I can but if it gets lost or goes bad I only use $0.25. Or I guess $0.32 now.

thats not what he said. he said the dollar version is the only one not cake up and could be reused again and again for a month.
Bought these brand as a filler for an order. It works good when you use it, but dries out when in storage. Just my experience, your may be within the normal distribution.
