I grabbed this before Christmas 2021 for the wife. She uses it in a WFH office setting. It's a nice keyboard, and to have swappable hot keys for $40 is a DEAL!

With that said, one thing I don't like about the keyboard is, the key will "actuate" before the "click" of the button. If I apply a little pressure to a key and push it down slowly, it will type that letter on the screen before the "click".
Would not recommend this keyboard, the usb plugs on mine died after 4 months, then the replacement they sent me died after 3 weeks.

Got it with 30% off extra with the discover cash back credit deal. $28 + tax Shipped, the $10 amazon stamp did not stack when the discover promo was added.

It's ok but keep in mind the EVGA software is supposedly buggy and the keyboard is only compatible with 3-pin switches. The included switch puller is terrible and needs to be replaced ASAP. Otherwise, types nicely.

I do not agree, I love them for office work, they are easy to press, and quiet, the only issue is they are really easy to 'fat finger', but I dont really have that issue, I just cant spell so it works out really well for me. Also, I put rubbers on the stems and I like the feel a lot better and it also helps to cut out the bottoming out 'clack'.

so they are terrible for typing compared to any None speed switches .

I got this with the last sale (think it was $5 more) and replaced the switches with kailh box whites. Way better typing experience for me personally, and the switches were $33 for 110.

It's from a reseller at Amazon though, check the reviews of the seller before ordering.

We have bought and used two of the v20s the first time they went on sale. Absolutely flawless, no issues what so ever. Very premium for the price.

Worth it ?
an rgb keyboard with a wrist rest for $40 is pretty tough to beat, even the most generic wrist rest is 5$ and even the most generic keyboards are like $20-30

I received the Z15 and the Z20 for free from various eVGA deals. I like them both, but don't "love" them. They're well built, but they cheaped out on the plastic for the keys, making them feel too light and it takes away from the perception of quality.

For a few bucks more I'd go for the Z20 as the volume controls are more complete you get programable keys, but at $40 it's a decent buy. It's just not going to be a Corsair or Razor typing experience.

Looking at the two the big obvious difference are the HP Omen is red backlight and this is per key RGB and this has a built in wrist rest. I also don't see anything on the HP about the switches being replaceable. All of those things might be big deciding factors or not matter at all depending on your planned uses.

They are both Linear switches so should feel very similar in usage. The Omen does use Cherry switches while the EVGA uses Kailh which are cherry clones but are pretty well regarded compared to the generic cherry clones you'll see on your typical Chinese brand keyboard.

Personally I prefer a tactile switch so I wouldn't use either of these as is but I have the evga Bronze switches from a previous deal and they didn't quite fit into my generic Chinese brand keyboard with with swappable switches so I went ahead and picked up this one. Still less than half of the msrp and gives me a few extra bronze switches and the ability to mix and match them.

If anyone is looking to swap out switches, I suggest using this site [switches.mx] to compare options (remember, you want 3-pin) and see available vendors.

You should try the Pro Purple. I'm not a fan of linear or clicky and tried a few options before settling on the Pro Purple. Nice and quiet and needs just enough force to not feel mushy.
