Other than being able to play pass Dolby Vision are tgere any otger big benefits? My current 4K player can support an external drive with movie files on it. I assume this can do that too?

I do have this player and it is awesome. Only problem is it doesnt get any new apps like Hulu, Disney etc. Player is little slow but great picture quality.

This, Series X or PS5 for 4k discs??
neither console can play dolby vision on discs, so if that's important to you, then the standalone player; it also upscales sd/hd better than tvs or the consoles. buuut if you want to play games, though..

Thank you! Didn't realize the support for Vision was streaming only. Buut, the kids and I do enjoy gaming...

This is a 4K UHD player for 4K discs that supports all the HDR color formats including Dolby Vision which many players lack.

(However, does anyone know if a new one is coming out? If so is it worth the wait+cost?)
