the only problem that's cropped up in the Milwaukee mower reviews, everything else works as advertised.
So the "only" problem is that sometimes it doesn't turn on, just stops turning on entirely, and intermittently keeps turning off. While costing 30-40% more than some competitors. Sorry, but I like Milwaukee, but people need to stop jerry-rigging their $900-1100 lawn mowers then defending them online like this is normal and expected. If it was 50% off or more, maybe people should buy them expecting to fix this stuff, but $100~ off, and you're getting a worse lawn mower than a $600 EGO isn't ok. It isn't normal. People need to stop defending it.

Yes, its the power button that is allowing the issues... everything you mention stems from a less than robust button design.
I understand your perspective, not everyone will be satisfied with a workaround like mine. To have an electric mower that worked with my existing battery set up sold me.
Another tool that possibly has an issue like this that I am interested in is the new Mud Mixer concrete mixer. The SPDT switch apparently can get water in it and stop working. If I get one, the switch would be replaced if issues ever crop up. The design of the rest of the unit seems rock solid. So far the design of the Milwaukee mower is solid except for the button.
