Solid price, but I'm tempted to hold the line just a little longer.

So if we keep OLED out of the picture- what are the best TVs out there?

I am finishing up a new build and need at least 2-3 tv, one of which will be our primary tv. I was gonna wait till BF and get a nice 75"+ tv but just don't know where to start. Heard a lot of folks say OLED is the top dog.
Yes OLED is top dog but it does come with its caveats as mentioned.

Excluding OLED, popular options you might want to look into(in no particular order).
Sony X90J
Samsung QN90A
Hisense U8G
I recently helped setup a U8G, after calibration that's pretty good performance for the price.

Hope that helps and good luck.

I sometimes leave the same news station on for many hours straight. Should I avoid oled. Seems the five year warranty does not cover burn in. Ty sd

^There is a setting in the menu to turn the screen off if you want to leave it on and just listen.

new qd-oled panels, either the samsung s95b or sony a95k - using samsung qd-oled panels.

if you want to know what a qd-oled is:

https://www.trustedreviews.com/ex...ed-4131670

it's basically an LED panel with a oled backlight.

I bought this exact TV exactly 90 days ago with Costco. Would they allows price adjustment?
You can try to return since you're within the 90 day mark and rebuy. A pain but it might be worth it. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and submitted a price adjustment.

I purchased it in-store less than a month ago, however this deal shows as "Delivery Only", would this be a problem in asking for a price adjustment?

Anyone order but then have their order canceled 3-5 minutes later? I've tried multiple times now and it always gets canceled.

That was a concern when oleds first came out. Models in the past 5 years do not suffer from burn in. this was mainly a concern for gamers who would play the same game 8 hours a day every day and the HUD would leave a burn in

Why don't you just turn off the TV when no longer watching?
Burn-in is STILL a real concern! It can/does still happen depending on what is on the screen and for how long. Don't believe anyone that says the newest generation of OLED sets are immune from image retention!

Some used to say the last gen of plasma screens back in 2015 didn't have burn-in issues either.

Does Sony ever have deals on the x80? I saw both and really prefer the Sony, but this price is so nice :/ I would like the Sony to drop in price.

Could you provide the scenario that caused it? I have a CX and don't want it to happen to me. Thanks.

My 5y son decided to watch Netflix with yellow subtitles, he was learning how to read and decided he wanted to see the words from the dialogues. It took a couple of weeks to start seeing the burn in at the subtitles area.
