Just received mine, setting it up...Gen 7, new body--no "Y" light. Screen is 165hz, 150w 3060. Good thermals (same as 2021). 135w USB C PD charging (back io), Legion Spectrum RGB (4 zone), 16gb DDR5, 512GB, Geekbench 5 101-110K.
.
Hope this helps.
The closest competitor to this deal is probably the Walmart deal with the 2021 model with the RTX 3070. With this deal, you're saving $200 and giving up about 20% in gaming FPS, but gaining the updated CPU (~7-10% gains), DDR5 RAM (admittedly not that impactful now), more powerful USB-C charging, and Gen 4 SSD capability.
For casual gamers and maybe those who mainly do productivity tasks, I think that's a fair trade for $200. It's certainly better than the base 2021 Legion 5 deal for $1140 that was Frontpage, since the storage difference is only worth about $100.

Is the RAM upgradeable on this model? I need 32GB. And is there a second SSD slot? The reviews I've seen show these both being upgradable, but I'd hate to assume.

Yes, two slots for RAM and two SSD slots. All user changeable.

Thanks for the info! Does it come with the 135w usb c pd charger or did you buy separately? which one did you get? Does it come with the 300w charger? TIA

165Hz screen is the HDR400 one and supposedly more expensive than the 240Hz.
Thermals in 2022 are supposedly improved. The i7-12700H Legion benefits from that more than the Ryzen 7 6800H will.

It comes with 300w "slimmer" charger, can also be charged with 100w PD (at back usbc) and also with 135w (razer) Gan charger (back usbc). Thermals are much better but it's subjective. I returned 3070Ti due to being hotter and louder than this. GB5 around 105k, TSpy- 9.2K, FS 21.8K (in auto-hydrid setting)..hope all helps. Thank you
This looks great imo and just ordered it. Just want a second opinion on how this compares to the Acer Predator 500 SE[bestbuy.com] sold on Best Buy for $1,200. Wondering if the TDP difference of the Acer Predator at 105W vs 140W of the Lenovo Legion would make a big difference, and also the i7 11th gen vs new Ryzen 6900. Does anyone know if the Legion has a mux switch? I think it may but would like to confirm.

Hopefully it's not too far behind for media consumption.
Interestingly, Lenovo's PSREF doesn't have any models listed worldwide with the 240Hz panel.
In any case, thanks to the OP.
