I actually own this one with the plunge base, and I bought 1/4" bar to fit the Bosch edge guide to the Metabo router. I did this because the Metabo edge guide is cheap garbage. Even after converting, it isn't as good as the Bosch since the Bosch mounts the edge guide with 3/8" rails for a truly professional and stable router.
I also bought the Metabo with plunge base and accessories for $99 a couple years back, so I'm not as scourned since it's decent. But, If I had bought just the router for $69 and then had to buy a plunge base that is hard to find, then had to buy a bad edge guide, then had to buy a different edge guide, then had to take time and money to make it work...well I'd feel foolish for not just getting the better Bosch.

The Hitachi (Metabo HPT) router is a good motor. If you are putting this in a router table this might be perfect for you. Just don't fall into the trap of thinking this is a good system to build off of for a plunge base and edge guide.

If you are only doing rougher construction, (I recently used this to route a 1/2" rabbet with a dedicated rabbeting bit on some boards for trailer siding) this is probably a good buy. If you are getting into finer furniture making, I'd second getting the Bosch 1617EVSPK.
