This 4100 series is probably more than enough for most people for regular everyday use. You can spend more on more features, but probably not necessary for most people.

After doing some research, it seems like Oral-B requires less effort as the brush head themselves does the motions while the Philips uses sonic feature to essentially vibrate the brush head ( which looks like regular brush heads) but require you do do the motions back and forth. Have you had to use more motions on the Philips than the Oral B? In other words, do you need more intervention on the Philips than on the Oral B?

I felt like I was using the same motions for both. I think with oral b it didn't feel like my teeth were getting cleaned without a little motion on my part.

Probably subjective but I felt like Sonicare gave me a better clean.

I like this brush way more than the Oral B one that broke on me immediately. The third party brush heads seem decent too. I definitely feel like I have a better clean with this model- threw out my old bulky Sonicare. I was waiting for this deal so i will be buying a second one of these for the wife. TU

I used Oral B for many years. You still need to orient and move the brush since the motor is only one direction, your teeth have different surfaces and nooks, and the brushhead is very small. It's less exertion than a manual brush of course but you're still doing a lot of motion.
