Phone is IP52 so maybe a deal breaker for some.

EDIT: Looks like Best Buy has missing information. I'd trust GSMArena over Best Buy. Actual list of 5G Bands. T-Mobile should have 100% compatibility.

Phones are locked to carriers because they give you a discount (subsidize your purchase) on buying a phone from them so they want you to stick with them for a while to make it worth their while to have subsidized you. That's not the case when you bring your own phone.
A lot of if depends if you prefer Nord's UI to Motorola's UI. They both modify Android.

According to that page, T-Mobile uses these bands for 5G:
Band n71 (600 MHz)
Band n41 (2.5 GHz)
Band n258 (24 GHz)
Band n260 (39 GHz)
Band n261 (28 GHz)
So unless I'm reading this wrong, this phone does not have:
Band n258 (24 GHz)
Band n260 (39 GHz)
Band n261 (28 GHz)
Thanks in advance

I got it at Metro-by-T-Mobile for $10 when I switched my cell service from Verizon to Metro by T-Mobile.I must remain with Metro for 6 months then they unlock it and I can switch to any carrier. I returned the Edge 2021 256 GB phone and got a full refund. BTW, you can not expand the memory in the Edge, but you can expand memory in the XT2215 to as it has as SD slot.
I have verified the below specs on my XT2215:
OS: Android 12
Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SM6375
CPU: 64 bit, octa-core, 6 nm
GPU: Adreno 619
I am getting 5G Ultra Capacity speeds with Metro.
Yes there are other differences, namely the camera MP, but I just could not justify the addit cost.
Heck, for $10 I am glad I returned the $499 M Edge 2021. Very satisfied with my XT2215.
