Shipped and sold by Amazon. Great price. Everyone buy these up so that I'm not tempted to get one.

r10 for 10 pct cb at WD.com. I am weak. in for one
That was a refurb drive - big difference.
Better to get from WD and get 10% CB from a competitive site... At least you get the 5 year warranty WD offers.

It was a hard decision but I went the 14tb red plus drives at $210 each for $15/tb. I only wanted 4 drives to run truenas.

it's the same part number, should have 512MB regardless of where you buy it:

Amazon obviously screwed up the desc, see datasheet [westerndigital.com]

Where, the 16TB Gold and Red Pro were on sale directly from WD for $299.

Can confirm. I ordered 2 18TB drives for $299 around Memorial Day, and however long later, the 16TBs went up for $204, so I bought 2 of them as well. Both the 18s and 16s came in brown cardboard boxes.
