I tried this monitor with a 14 inch Macbook pro m1 (with thunderbolt cable) and had no issues, I got the full 144Hz with no flickering, the usb passthrough and audio worked perfectly (the integrated DAC on this monitor isn't great though, I wouldn't recommend using it's audio output for music. The speakers on the other hand are some of the best I've heard on a monitor), scaling wise I didn't pay attention, I could send you pictures if you are really interested with this monitor (I would need to borrow my brother's mbp and he doesn't like that).

1 year JOKE of a warranty... The Dell UltraSharp U3415 34" wide monitor came with a 3 year warranty. This thing comes in at ~$1,200 and has a 1 year warranty lol?

The LG 38GN95B-B has a 3 year warranty. +$100 more.

I use this monitor with my M1 Pro MBP 14 for the last couple months, I haven't had any issues with screen flickering myself
I didn't mention flickering but I saw others did. My concern was the poor contrast ratio however on further research it appears to be an issue with IPS displays generally.

I have this monitor. It is amazing for WFH. I had it setup with a KVM so that i could switch between my work laptop, PC, and PbP mode split down the middle with work on one side and PC on the other. Never seen flickering issues with my M1 pro macbook.

I do wanna say though that at 38", its uncomfortable using another 27" monitor to the side in landscape mode. Requires too much head turning. Portait mode is ok, but unless your workflow is used to it, it can be hard to adjust.

There may be a reason for the short warranty. Maybe I'm just lucky. I have the 38UC99-W model same overall specs. Two months out the AC adapter died, and One month past 1 year warranty it developed two vertical lines on the left side and they told me the panel needs replacement out of warranty. So needless to say I have a two year old monitor with vertical lines wasn't about to spend even more on a sub par quality product.

Using this for the past month with my M1 PRO MBP via Thunderbolt 3 and my Windows PC via DisplayPort. Excellent monitor, doesn't ever feel oversized, and has all the bells & whistles one would need. Sharp HDR viewing and it charges/displays my MBP via the included Thunderbolt 3 cable. No screen flickering encountered yet.

I also have this monitor, bought it last month after returning the LG 38GN95B-B from Costco for the same price. I was disappointed that the LG 38GN95B-B didn't have PBP which has proven to be great for WFH.

I didn't really care about the not being able to OC to 160hz and totally fine with 144hz for gaming. Other than that, picture quality and brightness appear to be identical to my eyes. Both monitors had very little backlight bleed. Highly recommend it for those that want a monitor that checks off most boxes.. I had an older 4 year old 34" LG UW and this has been a huge upgrade for me.

This is about the price of the 34" Alienware QD OLED, which is the best gaming monitor period for QHD currently.

Out of curiosity, are you guys not concerned that the warranty for a $1k+ monitor is only one year? Dell offers 3 years on most of their monitors..

Trying to decide between this and the LG 40WP95C-W for mixed use. Not really concerned about the price tag, but just focused on which one would best integrate with the new M1 Max MBP. Anyone have experience with one or both?
I am hoping the 40wp95c-w gets a price drop this year. It's got a lower refresh rate at 72hz but makes up for it in mind for the 5k2k size. I'm not really planning on gaming on this but it does come with freesync. I think the PPI is just good enough that it isn't really noticeable from what I've read in reviews and with the thunderbolt 4, it feels a bit more future proof so I'm going to wait it out.

How fast is screen switching through the KVM?

Can you also link the KVM you are using? Right now, my cheap Samsung ultra wide feels like it takes a good 4-5 seconds between the KVM switch

Yep. I came very close to getting the Dell 38" for $790 before the apocalypses and it still eats at me that I didn't. Gotta have hope, though.

I was going to buy this monitor until I read about the screen flickering issues with the apple M1 chips

It doesn't sound like this monitor's resolution scales very well with an M1, either.
I have this monitor and 16" Macbook pro m1 pro, through thunderbolt port, no issue.
