1st phone has white spot and sent to Apple. Apple denied the warranty due to 3rd party modification, and I think the screen is replaced. Still under warranty until 04/22, which is useless.
2nd phone, screen is cracked and screen is replaced too. Still under warranty until 03/22, which is useless too.
3rd phone, heavily used and out of warranty. Screen seems original. I can see bad scratch front and back.
Be very very careful and know you are taking your chance.
1st month service required for activation.

Basically just apologized for what happened and said if I wanted still wanted the phone to order it again when it goes live.
I basically said I was unhappy about these shady practices and holding my money after orders were cancelled. Guy acknowledged they took my money and refund should be 3-5 business days. He said he's escalating the issue and will let mgmt know about these problems.
We will see if they keep their word, if it does nothing at least this creates a "record" of this complaint, so I don't believe that it's useless to call or make waves, if there's enough complaints the issue will at least get acknowledged.
Btw, they are back in stock now. Just ordered another one at $175 (with plan) - 15% = $152.49 + tax. Plus t c b has 12% back.
Is it uncommon? In my 2+ decades of buying things online from various vendors, I can count on one hand how many charge right away before shipping: Total Wireless and HP.

so I suggest if you don't get anywhere with them, open an FCC "billing" case, they have to provide a written response to all cases open so they can't just sweep it under the rug.

I got a follow up call today from someone in the executive resolution department. My favourite line from the agent on today's call: "The good thing is that we gave you back your money" (for the cancelled orders). He didn't really know what was going on either, he needed me to give him the ticket number to get caught up.
I have no clue how TW is so incompetent, the executive resolution department took about 45 minutes to even find my order / ticket / BBB complaint file, the agent kept saying "One more moment please" every few minutes. If this is the top end of the company, I'm afraid to know about the entry level support.
