Pixel 6 owner here. I word of warning.
the reviews stating the slow finger print reader is concerning.
If i can go back in time, I would not buy the pixel 6 because the fingerprint reader is embarrassingly slow and misreads if you change lighting conditions. It's simply awful and makes checking the phone a chore. I hate it. No screen protector issue, not my phone (it was exchanged), and it's a common complaint. If you are coming from a phone that had even an average sensor, this will annoy you to no end.

The Google Tensor chips have such unreliable and poor mobile connections that a significant number of users have to reboot regularly or toggle airplane mode on/off just to get data working. It always happens when i drive. Check reddits pixel subs for more info. It doesn't look like any of those issues will be fixed because they simply aren't fixed in the flagships.
It seems to be an issue when you transition towers, so if you travel a lot or travel through dead zones, it'll happen more frequently. An unacceptable problem most in-studio reviews don't address, but real-world users struggle with, and have been since launch.

warning: This kind of trade in deal came around 1.5 yrs ago for 4a 5g. The say they will respect trade in value if old phone is received within a month of you receiving the new phone. But then they delayed the return pkg . And instead of giving $285 trade in value they gave $15. Everyone had to fight with customer care to get back the money. And they have terrible customer care.

Several reviews of the final product are indicating it's pretty similar to the 6 and 6 Pro. Some early stories and very early (unofficial) hands on videos said it was a faster sensor, but many of the reviews coming out today of the production model ay it's similar in speed. Maybe a hair faster here and there, but not so much as to make a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.

Not really much more to add than what I mentioned. I logged in, initiated a chat, got a helpful rep, explained my situation, long history with T-Mobile and gushed about how much I love them, and then asked...wish granted. Yes, it is HUGE YMMV. You can get a dipsh*t, a jerk, a newbie, a person who hates their life, etc. Or you can get a super-friendly person who is totally hapless and can't even find the right promo (I had to patiently explain that the new 6a promo was not one of the other 3 Pixel promos she thought I was talking about). If you are lucky you get someone who is both knowledgeable and helpful, or is at least willing to let you guide them to what the eff you are asking about.

Chat isn't that hard to find.
Thank you for all of this. You mentioned that the 6a promo was "not one of the other promos," but technically, this freebie isnt an official promo either...so is it a wild goose chase to even ask the rep to "find" documentation about the free phones? TIA!

I just purchased this and got 300 back on my Google Pixel 3A as well. Hell of a deal. Also I'm wondering if I sign up for that Google One do I get the 10% in credit for my next order or is it too late?
How long did you have to wait for the 300 rebate?

So I'm assuming if one returns a phone and gets a Google store credit, that credit can be used for ordering Pixel 7? Does Google exclude products from using Store credit?
Does the store credit expire?
I was able to use store credit for the 6a, so I would assume 7 would not be an issue. My credit was going to expire so at least in the case of promotional credit, it does have an expiration

They will credit your original payment method, for example credit card, after your trade in is received and analyzed.

I cancelled my original order and reordered after I had gotten the 2TB plan so I could qualify for the 10% credit

THANKS OP - I had such a bad experience with a FI phone deal I prob would have missed this.

$300 for a Pixel 3a+ that I paid $90 for a year ago - wow.

Did want to mention that I upgraded my One account and the new 10% store credit showed up immediately if folks are wondering. Hate ear pods - looks like they sell for about $65-$70 on ebay which makes the deal even better.

They're only offering me $50 for my 3a. Rip. Would love to upgrade if it worked for me.
You sure you're in the Google store and not Google Fi store?

because you get 300$ trade-in credit for a 2 year old budget A series Samsung phone at which Samsung does not even give you 100$ trade-in credit for on their website...
Fi offers 155 earlier and now 135 but s22 discounts to 299 . So 299 -135.+120(4 mnths service). You decide which is better as a71 5g has same ram and storage as pixel 6a.pm for more details

I wonder why ppl trade A71 for this phone instead of fi s22 which is a great deal...
I thought about it but I don't wanna dish out $300+ more for a flagship phone..I only need my phone for texting/phone calls and light web browsing lol

the trade in for iphone 7 only shows 256GB and can't choose any other storage option...does that mean they 32GB doesn't qualify?
