Dell has the Inspiron 7425 2-in-1 14-inch convertible (Yoga-type) on sale for $587.99 - $49 for McAfee auto-renewal = $539.99. Unlike with most of their deals, the 12%
Capital One Spring coupon [capitalone.com] applies, bringing this to $474.31.
Instructions:- Retrieve the 12% Captial One Spring coupon
- Convert the coupon into a Dell coupon
- Configure the laptop with the following:
- "McAfee® LiveSafe™ 12-month subscription auto-renew" when configuring the laptop. This will deduct $49 from the total.
- Remember to cancel the subscription to avoid being charged the recurring $119 annual fee after the 1st year
Important: The code you get from Capital One is not the coupon code, you need to copy & paste that onto the linked Dell page to get the actual coupon code. Also, you do NOT have to have any account with Capital One to sign up for Spring.
I was able to stack this with two Amex offers ($120 off $599 and +1 MR points by adding the active pen to bring this over $600 including tax).
Specs:- AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with Zen 3 architecture, 6 cores, 12 threads
- 14-inch 16:10 (1920 x 1280) wide viewing angle (IPS-type) display, 250 nits
- 8GB 3200 MHz RAM installed in one SODIMM slot (leaving another slot free, recommend installing another 8GB module for dual-channel operation
- 512GB NVME SSD in m.2 slot
- Backlit keyboard
- Fingerprint reader
- MediaTek 802.11ax WiFi/Bluetooth (I recommend replacing with Intel AX200)
- 54 WHr battery - bigger than average, should be good for at least 7-8 hours of normal use
- 1080p front camera
- Pebble green (very pale green)
- Exterior chassis materials: aluminum
- Weight: 3.6 lbs
- Ports:
- SD card reader
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- Audio jack
- HDMI 1.4i
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C™ with Power Delivery and DisplayPort
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C™ with Power Delivery and DisplayPort

For $16 and about 10 minutes of work, I was able to add another 8GB of RAM, bringing it to 16GB. The pen direct from Dell was another $40. It has been a great little machine.
You need to select the following option when configuring the laptop:
This will take off an additional $49 from the total.

Compared to my last Dell it's a lot better. My last Del the hinge broke and Dell would do nothing since it was 14 months old. Bought a new hinge/casing, broke again in a few months.
I've never seen one of these Dell 2 in 1s in person before so I'm asking.

I haven't gotten mine yet but according to a few reviews of the previous version, Inspiron 7415, they mentioned that the chassis and hinge were pretty solid.

This one is sub $500, a Zen 3 and touchscreen.
As for folks looking for cheap 1x8GB RAM. I couldn't find any used stuff but here is the lowest AMZ has.
